So, Neymar does in fact move to PSG, smashing the world transfer record into another galaxy.
Totally insane, and one wonders when this seemingly endless inflation of the transfer market will burst.
Meanwhile, Adam Lallana joins Sturridge on the injury list, out until October with a thigh issue. With a Champions League campaign about to start, Klopp can ill afford these injuries. Especially as it seems Liverpool are showing little interest in buying many (any?) more players.
You might also not have noticed MLS jerseys. They're fairly common too. My kid rarely wears anything but his NE Revolution, Everton, USA, Germany jerseys. So been in California all week. I've seen 3 football shirts.
Liverpool
Arsenal
Barcelona
Funny. Still I think a few years ago you'd have seen none.
Very probable. Still I think it's good to see any!You might also not have noticed MLS jerseys. They're fairly common too. My kid rarely wears anything but his NE Revolution, Everton, USA, Germany jerseys.

Good to hear.So true. When I went in the army many years ago there were no pitches in my small town, now we have a million dollar pitch with dozens of kids teams playing.

Here in the US Midwest, soccer jerseys are still few and far between unless you happen to live in a city hosting an MLS team.
You'll find Barca and Real shirts (CHEEEEEEAP) at just about any discount clothing outlet in the US Midwest; Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City are also not rare to see, as well as the odd Liga Mex club shirt and Brazil shirts. But that's about it. I've never seen a Liverpool shirt in any store, ever. and MLS teams like Columbus only sell shirts in their home town.
Don't think I've ever seen a Spurs jersey (or met a Spus fan) in the wild here. In my neck of the woods I routinely see Man U., Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal In that order as Premier League jerseys. The occasional Man City and Everton jersey (and not just on my kid).No Spurs shirts, either, then?
Even though I support them, I almost expected Arsenal to crumple after going behind to Chelsea in the Charity Shield.
But they pulled a goal back, drawing level which forced the game into extra time, which Arsenal then won handsomely on penalties.
Yes, it is only the Charity Shield - but I would have hated to see Arsenal display a brittle lack of backbone, which might have been argued was a harbinger of things to come; instead, they fought back, and snatched a victory.
Bravo.
My Arsenal friends are happy.
I only caught the highlights. To be honest neither team looked sharp (as is often the case preseason), but agree Man U never looked like they could win it.Real take 'Super Cup' - the scoreline was narrow, but Real never looked like losing it. Despite that, I fully expect Mou to win the Premier League this season - he always does in his second season at a club, and Man Utd have a very talented and massively expensive squad.
Especially on Sunday!Well, my views on Mr Mourinho have not changed; therefore, as long as he is in charge at Manchester United, I sincerely hope that they get stuffed each and every week, and that despite the fact that my late father, (whom I adored) supported them with a somewhat illogical passion.
Let's be honest he's unlikely to see the season out unless they are winning the league and doing well in the CL.We can only hope that Man U comes to their sense and finds the right manager.

Based on yesterday's performance I'd say that was unlikely.
More likely there will be some big failing out with the players at some point which the press will just love.
If things don't work out for Arsenal this year maybe you could pick up Mr Wegner in the summer!![]()
Sounds like my Fathers marriage...Yes, I expect the relationship between Manchester United and Mr Mourinho to end in tears, that is, in some sort of combustible manner - this is how his last few positions have ended.
However, I cannot see Arsenal and Mr Wenger parting ways; their relationship is like one of those weird couples who kind of suit one another - they cannot envisage anyone else - even though they might not be the best choice for one another after a few decades together.
