Arsenal verses Chelsea final?Agree with both of you.
No, but somehow, I dislike him a lot less than I do Ronaldo.
Elsewhere, Arsenal - who had gone a goal behind, managed to pull two back against Valencia, and now lead 2-1.

The top five footballers for me are some combination of Pelé, Messi, Maradona, C. Ronaldo, and Cruyff.
Well done. Apart from that pesky away goal I’d say job done.Cruyff, yes, agreed, for his revolutionary impact on his football was played, his intelligence, and his sheer skill.
However, some of the players who played in earlier eras, whose exploits were not immortalised by TV or cinema were undoubtedly brilliant - for one, I mentioned Puskas, but there are others.
Arsenal lead Valencia 3-1.

Well as a West Ham supporter I've long learned to enjoy the results when you can!Well, never say never, especially with Arsenal.
Leaky defence, porous defence, brittle defence.....
But, a good result, and gnawed nails en route.

I think they might rest players for the return leg. But it’s a gamble. Their route to CL could be winning the Europa league rather than the PL. hard to say.Arsenal finally decided to wake up from their stupor... Wrong league match, but the effort was much needed.
[doublepost=1556847887][/doublepost]Saturday's Newcastle match should be lively.
Cannot disagree with that pick, but I've always been partial to Romário, for his sheer finishing power which is still unsurpassed, IMO**.The top five footballers for me are some combination of Pelé, Messi, Maradona, C. Ronaldo, and Cruyff.

Happy hammer today! Arnie finally found his shooting boots!
But if you finish fourth and Chelsea win the Europa, you’ll not get a CL spot!Well, while he found his "shooting boots", I wonder whether his resolve to cross continents in search of a more lucrative future continues to fuel his ambition, or whether he may rest content with actually performing to his potential in a genuine league.
Elsewhere, Spurs imploded (two red cards) almost comically, in a defeat to Bournemouth.
Seriously, if Arsenal manage to land a fourth place position, it will be in spite of themselves, as every team between third and sixth are busily engaged in attempts at embarrassing themselves as much as possible.

But yes Spurs do seem determined to not finish third!
The Newcastle match any good? I wasn't feeling well enough to watch it and took a nap instead. Today's 'Spurs match was ridiculous to watch. That list minute clincher in stoppage time sealed the match.
The Newcastle match was romantic Liverpool strutting their stuff heroically and with suitable amounts of suffering (for their fans and for anyone and everyone else who would love to se Liverpool actually win the Premiership.
A win is a win, but we all know how the season is going to end.
What was that about then?Feeling rough due to bad sleep, but bring on today's matches. Hopefully I don't knock out and end up napping through half of today's matches.
[doublepost=1557066365][/doublepost]Cheeky group clapping at the men replacing the corner flag at the Hudderfield match. I expect to see memes about it later this week.
Mbenza got too excited and broke a corner flag. It had to be replaced and it took about 7 minute for two men to replace it. Crowd behind the two men were more fixated on them than the match, taking photos and clapped hard after they finally got it to stay up and not flop down. What was that about then?
Pretty poor result for them. They can’t finish in the top four now.Mbenza got too excited and broke a corner flag. It had to be replaced and it took about 7 minute for two men to replace it. Crowd behind the two men were more fixated on them than the match, taking photos and clapped hard after they finally got it to stay up and not flop down.
Cheekiness all around. People are taking the piss out of it online at the moment.
[doublepost=1557068596][/doublepost]Oh, and Gunnar looked like he'd rather off himself than watch his players slog around like blind wombats.
I think there's a higher probability that grizzly bears will start dancing to the tune of the Nutcracker.Let’s see if Arsenal can make it count.
Mmmmm. Lamb roast. Sounds nice!I think there's a higher probability that grizzly bears will start dancing to the tune of the Nutcracker.
That said, I'll give it until near the end of the first half as I need to pop a lamb roast into the oven for 4 hours. The smell should keep me entertained as the match most likely won't.
