I don't know, I am enjoying watching the overall greatness of this French team.
I think the Italians have to be a tournament favourite now (if they weren't already)...

Can't say Italy has exactly faced stiff competition yet, with Turkey being a real letdown and Switzerland also being a highly limited team, but I do like the direction Mancini has taken them in and they've looked formidable so far. No one should take them lightly in the knockout rounds — they will also need Verrati back to get through those tougher matches to come.

Some pretty dull matches today. Poor decision on the penalty against Croatia, it was quite clearly accidental contact.
Have to agree. It never looked like a pen to me. Second half will be better. Croatia will have to push or face going home.

In other news good to see Erickson has been discharged.

Of course for me the big one is tonight! Come on England!

I don't expect too much from Scotland, though it's hardly a guaranteed win for England. And, with all due respect to the Euros, I think today's headline match is happening in Brasília, Argentina v Uruguay in the Copa America sounds like a tasty matchup.

Wonderful news on Erickson.

Scrappy game so far. Stones should have scored. Chances at both ends. Scotland will be happier I’m sure.

At the moment, yes, I'd say that Scotland are happier (and they have played somehwat better, or have persuaded their players to produce good performances).

However, there is still over 30 minutes remaining.

And, the introduction of substitutes may alter/ransform the dynamic of the game.

Absolutely dreadful. Credit to Scotland but the talent pool available to the England team means that result is completely unacceptable. It might play out well for the game after the groups though.
England might not want to win this group but would be foolish not to try.

Scotland played well and put in a lot of hustle but England should have created more and should have finished their chances. I think the failure was tactical as much as anything. Kane looked flat.

It does set things up nicely for the next round of matches in this group. Everyone needs points badly now.

All the hype but all mouth no trousers. First England result was a lucky 3 points, Scotland's passion in the second game exposed them. Maybe 3 or 4 true world class players in the squad but none of them on top form notably Harry Kane (and I am a Spurs fan). No way this team should get beyond the group stages and if they do will be eliminated in the first stage of the knockouts.

What do they need? Gareth Bale or his enthusiasm and pride and drive. Made a wonderful goal for Ramsey, missed a penalty which would have floored lesser players then had two goes at a cheeky 'keep it in the corner' tactic which payed off the second time around. I mean how did they allow him to do it twice duhhh

Then there was Scotland, took the game to the opposition, supposedly out gunned but stuck it to England big time.

Passion, self belief, drive, motivation, never give up attitude. I think it's time for a UK team rather than an England team then we might win something.
