Agreed it was a turn around. But that Pogba goal was a bit special.
You MUST bury all your penalties in knockout tournaments. I am tempted to say game over now, but after the Croatia-Spain free-for-all I'm keeping my mouth shut.

What a day! We're only in the round of 16 and already the Dutch, French, and defending champs Portugal are all out. You can't accuse the Swiss of scraping a drab draw against a superior opponent, they had to take the game to France in a big way and then they looked very composed in the shootout. The big narrative for France will be how they allowed the Swiss back into the match, and of course Mbappe came up short in a few big moments - not the least of which was accidentally blocking Giroud's goal-bound shot in extra time! But of course it will be his penalty miss that makes the headlines.
This was one of the best days of tournament football I've seen for years in terms of narrative and excitement.

- You have to be somewhere at the end of the game and you need to miss the penalties!
