So happy. Great performance from Bowen. Not only the goal, but a number of vital blocks. Yes we gave the ball away far too cheaply, but in the end we did what we needed.

Well done West Ham. Well done Moyes. See you in the Europa League next season!

Not just silverware this season, but qualification for a European competition next season.

Very well done.

It's hard to say what will motivate Kane more: winning trophies or breaking the English goalscoring record.
I think Spurs will ship Kane out pretty quickly as he won't be able to play in the system their new manager uses.

That Trevor Brookin header I'm sure you remember!
Well, I'll not hold it against you, not tonight.

Tonight is for celebration, deserved celebration.

And I also liked how the team - the vast majority of them - also took responsibility and addressed the fans who were behaving like little thugs, by asking them to behave properly.

Agreed. Makes me embarrassed those few idiots. Hope they get banned for life.

lol. Just back from 3 days away. Back to salads for sure.

Enjoying the celebrations after the presentation. Great to see players past and present involved.
That is West Ham's third kit/strip (after the home and away ones)?

And, with no sponsorship, either, from what I can see?

That iconic kit will also go down as legendary in West Ham's history after tonight.

RE : Messi...The funny thing about this is, love or hate the deal, MLS has done something you could call clever, at least from a certain angle. They outbid the Saudis using someone else's money.

This is part of what I mean in MLS having extra value. The league can't compete financially - and is in fact remaining very fiscally sensible - but they have the US audience and some big corporate connections. You can't buy that.

On the other hand, I question the footballing sense in having Messi in MLS. He'll be a draw but he's only here for the money and beaches and he may very well Pirlo it. Standing around midfield spraying the odd pass to 'oles' without actually doing anything.

Well done West Ham. Well done Moyes. See you in the Europa League next season!
Nicely done, congrats!

I don't know if this is 'vindication' for Moyes, because most people who know football have rated him as a manager. The Man Utd job was a bad fit, bad timing - but he probably felt he had to take it. He isn't blameless in that, but on balance he's had a very good career and has earned this latest accolade.

That is not what I am arguing.

However, with this team, - with the resources at his disposal - and with this West Ham team in this time and place, - I think he has done pretty well.

A European trophy is not to be sneezed at.

Bad fit, bad timing, yes, but SAF also held on for far too long, (and his lingering shadow has been far too influential since his departure) and by doing do, masked that Manchester United's team's growing deficiencies and limits, and handed a poisoned chalice to anyone who had been appointed to succeed him.
but on balance he's had a very good career and has earned this latest accolade.
Agree completely.

Some nice words from Declan Rice about David Moyes: "I want to give a mention to the manger. He’s been tested this year, and there was a period when a lot of the fanbase wanted him out because results weren’t great. But if you look at his time at the club: he saved us, Pellegrini came in, then he saved us again, then got us into Europe two years in a row and has now won that. He’s up there as probably West Ham’s best-ever manager now."

Indeed. Hope he stays on until Mark Noble can take over in a few years. That would be amazing.

He had two deals on the table and his wife said in no uncertain term she would never go to Saudi Arabia due to their hatred of women. His other choice was MLS and he has a home in Miami already.
