Managed to bag tickets for Liverpool vs Crystal Palace game.

I can finally take my 10 year old to see his idol Salah play for Reds before he departs.

Father-son football outings are special, I remember visiting Southampton v Arsenal back in the day with my stepfather, and seeing Arsenal play at Highbury with my father a few years later. Both have recently passed on, but the memories are warm. Wishing you a great day out!

My Father and son (well technically they were Father, son and daughter trips were always to watch my Dad play.

It was my God father who first took me to Upton Park.

Very true. It’s all about good times and memories.

I sometimes do regret that he doesn’t support Arsenal but I always promised myself I will not force it upon him and let him decide.

Glad though it wasn’t Manchester United 😁. His mother supports United.

Household of Red supporters but different clubs lol.

And you can imagine now why I want Arsenal to win PL so badly this season. Gotta get them bragging rights at least once in my lifetime. It’s very much personal lol.

Well yes. But my point is no team will tell you how many second places they have. Well unless you support a sad team like mine whose best finish was third!

Hmmm interesting given that in individual sports like say marathons and others (refer to avatar) bronze for 3rd place count more for the winners than silver does for those. Not for team sports though especially in regular competition.

I’m sure it means a lot if you get a silver or bronze, but if I’m honest I couldn’t tell you who finished 2nd or 3rd.
History remembers the winners.

I’m not convinced Arsenal will finish second tbh. I’m expecting some surprises to come before the end of the season.

Yeah huge win for Nottingham Forest. Don’t think they can relax yet if Spurs and WHU keep winning, but a big step towards safety. Here are the run-ins for the Hammers and Spurs. With WHU on 33 pts and Spurs on 31 with 33 games played.

The threshold of points needed for safety has been pretty variable, but no team has ever been relegated from the Premiership with 43 points, so you’d think Leeds on 40 and Nottingham Forest on 39 should get there with four games to go.

Sports writers have been saying that 37 points should be enough to guarantee survival this year but I am not so sure.

Big thanks to Leicester, for making it hard work for Millwall. Almost got the 3 points off of them, and would have almost guaranteed that Millwall wouldn't get a automatic promotion spot.

Back in 1978, Chelsea played Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, and won 4-2. My Father and I, went to this game, he a Man Utd supporter, myself a Liverpool supporter (mainly in opposition to my dad), and it was our first, and last, father - son outing. Clive Walker scored a goal, which this video depicts,

- fair to say, at the age of 11, it broke my heart. The view in the video, was virtually the view I had. We walked home from the ground.
Having been born, and grown up in Chelsea, that natural choice would have been Chelsea, but back then, they were thugs. My neighbours were all Fulham FC fans, and a year or so after this, my parents split up, and my Dad left the country to live back in Ireland. Those neighbours took me to Fulham FC games, and I learnt the love of the game, and the lesson, that losing isn't the worse that can happen.

Looks like my team (Fulham) have given Liverpool a chance to move up the table, and if they win, I think that's the top settled.

No change at half time with both us and Spurs drawing 0-0. Given they are playing Wolves and we are playing Everton, I think matching their result would be better for us than them.

But I’d really be a very happy Hammer to secure a win (and Spurs to lose or at least draw).
