20 minutes...? That's nothing... we walked up from the hotel last year... that's the longest effing 3 km (or 2.7 according to Google) I've walked in my life...
LOL. Just used that to plan my own route and it looks like it takes me past Selfridges.

So journey time just increased to 3 hours :D

After a long time weighing up the pros and cons. Unfortunately I'm going to have to give this year's picnic a miss. :(

I replied to you on that thar other forum about this but I'll say again I'm really sorry to hear it but I can completely understand. Hope to see you again soon.

I'm afraid I won't be coming as I can't be in london for tomorrow :(

Hope everyone else has fun though!

So my hostel's kitchen has everything except an oven. So if you guys want pie I need someone to let me use their oven. :p

Are we still ok for meeting tomorrow at 12 if you're sorting out pie details? :)

I've tried calling after we met for lunch, but I think you've already swapped your SIM. Texting me is prob. best.

It was a really fantastic picnic! Not a big turn out but that didn't take away from the fantabeeeeaaaabulousness one bit. The weather was completely beautiful, we didn't overdo it with the food quite so much this year (The apple pie Sofia made was YUMMY and so was Robbie's chocolate raspberry cake!) and the tunes a few of us had turns with on BV's iPod hifi were especially awesome. (Thank you for bringing that, BV)

That Wireless festival caused absolutely no problems either. When you left our spot to go to the bathroom you could hear it but the moment you got back towards our little nook, nothing (but the occasional bass beat). I did get up and listen to a little Snoop Dogg on purpose though. :D Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yah and all that.

We forgot to take the iPhones suspect line photo but we did talk about it briefly because e and I have android phones. Such rebels!

This was one of the only group photos taken and posted from the MRpicnic twitter account:

(Mitty may have a few others but taking photos is no ones priority, it's a good time and if you want to join in, have to show up! :)

Not pictured, Blue Velvet, who took the photo, bigandy and szark, who had not arrived yet, and Mitthrawnuruodo... I'm not sure where he was at that time.

It really really great seeing you all again and meeting a couple new ones.

I'm a little gutted I didn't go. Glad you all had a good time though. I'll see some of you before the end of the year...

Looks like it was a really nice day! I'm disappointed I couldn't make it, hopefully next year though!

I, as ever, vote for Victoria Park.

It's London's oldest park, is huge, allows BBQs and, most importantly, is very near my flat :p

I'm not fussed on locations really. I think the biggest reason I love that particular spot in Hyde Park is that the massive tree(s) make great shelter if it drizzles briefly and there are many pubs nearby, including a wetherspoons (cheap) and loads of transport options.
Regent's Park is fine too but it feels slightly more out in the open and I thought I recall pubs being further away from it. This year the transport was totally shafted to get up there. Weekend tube closures are a real nuisance.

I probably won't plan next year's so someone else can work all this out.
