The iPhone Air, Apple's newest experiment, has been out for just about two weeks, and that’s not enough time to assess how good or bad it is, or how long it will continue to sell, and how many might be returned. It is the only iPhone readily available with all carriers and most distributors today, which suggests it has not been a hit with consumers.
What is this, AI? 😂

What we are seeing is the backlash of people sad that they had to choose. Apple released two flagship phones this year, the standard year over year upgrade, and a completely new design. The problem is, only a small group of people can choose the new design, because you have to sacrifice cameras & battery.

The air is absolutely the "premium" phone this year - it feels incredible in the hand and the titanium is much more durable than the aluminum on the Pros. And that is what is causing the backlash. People want to be told what to buy, and they want what they buy to be "the best". But Apple took that away from them this year.

Just drop a book on it and see how it won't crack... and do the same with last year's 16 to compare—and even better, try it on a venerable 11.

Because that's what some humans do, they love to tear everything, and everyone, apart..
May I suggest you ignore those humans as they will fill you with bitterness.

Focus on the good humans instead. Focus on the ones that are like minded, who do good things, and enjoy your fabulous new iPhone :)
Well said and agree.

I am going to unfollow this thread and other Air hater threads to follow happy people since that's my choice.

But see this is where the conflict lies. You’re saying the Air is the more premium device when subjectively it’s only premium in one aspect and that’s design, and again that’s subjective. In any other category the Pro are the premium devices, camera, battery, vapor cooling, performance etc. Don’t you think if Apple thought it was the more premium they would have priced it higher or at least on par. Let’s stop making our thoughts and opinions a matter of fact.

It’s so pathetic how they follow you wherever you try to be positive and enjoy the new form factor.

Apple literally said it was the premium phone in the lineup. Check yourself before you wreck yourself 😅

It’s a thin powered down white iPhone that does work well and look good for those that don’t use a case. Maybe it’s a niche.

This guy is so committed to hating a phone that it’s actually hilarious
The poor fellow managed to go through a video of more than 12 minutes in just 1 minute. How committed he is to his own purchase! Lovely!

By the way, Matt doesn't "hate" it. ;)

Yes, but you do, which honestly makes me laugh. It’s free entertainment

Why one should wait, Matt explains, 9 days ago...

and, when Apple does that, they have to pay a lot for Chinese technology...

It shouldn’t concern you, it’s best you keep your iPhone 11 and Intel Mac, keep hating on all the new devices and people who have money to spend!

It's interesting to me that all the top "trending" threads on this forum right now are about how the Air is actually good and you shouldn't be ashamed of liking it. Never seen a phone that required such a degree of talking yourself into it...
Literally none of the threads are about that, but oh look it’s another one of you 😂

I actually like the Air and came very close to buying it, so don't make assumptions 😂

I just don't know why we need all these threads saying the same thing. And they're all about the Air. You took a chance on a new design; be happy with it. Who cares if there are "haters"?

Good way of looking at it. I think all those other threads came after this one.

I’m quite happy with the phone, it’d just be nice if you could say that without people on here telling you it’s cope to say you like something that is niche or not selling well. But oh well, I can’t stop them. I guess they are just trying to spread their misery.
