Do you have to purchase with the card on file? For example, I use my normal debit card for my typical Apple Store purchases, but I'll want to use a different credit card tonight. How do I go about that?

I think you'll have the option to enter a different card on checkout, this will however, waste precious seconds during the world wide online pre-order launch.
Or you could for the sake of the watch, change the card on file to the one you want to actually use. Keep in mind that changing the card right after may prevent apple from placing the charge when your watch ships out, this could result in an order cancellation.

Express checkout doesn't work with the Apple Store app anymore only on their web site.

Don't know if we need Express Checkout on the app anyway, since it offers purchasing with Apple Pay (assuming you have a TouchID-enabled iOS device).

Unless you're opening up the card, you do need to manually call and set up the promotion, and the window to purchase with deferred interest becomes open for 30 days. Just called to do it and received my case number. I've had my Barclaycard since 2013, so I'm not automatically eligible. Best to call to be sure.

My card is the Apple Rewards card, so either way, I get points for making Apple.com purchases, but the deferred interest is a separate offer that's not always available.

i've had my card for a while now and i received an email that says ALL my purchases between 4/1 and 5/31 will be monitored and the grand total will determine my financing option....

NO WHERE in that email does it say to call to get the promotion

I have my info on file and everytime I order on the app store, it just pulls in all that info and boom done! haha :)

One thing I'd like to add to that checklist:

If you have a Barclaycard with Apple Rewards, you do have to call them in advance to activate the promotional deferred interest offer. They will give you a case number to which you can call back 10-15 days after purchase to make sure the deferred interest has been applied to it.

It's 6 months, no interest up to $499, or 12 months up to $999, and 18 months beyond $999. If you're getting two Apple Watches, breaking it down over 12 months is a no-brainer, as long as you stick to the payment plan.

Call 1-866-603-7217 to speak to your Barclaycard representative.

I have a Barclaycard with iTunes Rewards. Does anyone know if this offer will apply for me as well?

Also, I need some advice on my preorder. I'm planning on buying two watches, for myself and someone else. Will it hold things up if they are in the same order? Should I place two separate orders?

I would call right away, and they might be able to switch your card without changing the number, but ask to be sure! Order in one purchase, even if it should ship at separate times, the single purchase price should be eligible for at least the 12-months, no-interest promotion.

Well my bank's debit card doesn't support Apple Pay yet. I have been stashing money away in my savings because I'm not putting something like a Watch on a credit card. Oh well, my info is all up to date now and Express Checkout is on. Just hope the Online Store works. :D

I'm so so so so so nervous, man.

Watching Hackers tonight to get in the zone.
Angelina Jolie makes me brave.
Then on the 24th you can blast through the Apple Store on your skateboard and nab all the watches in one fell swoop.

i would'nt say im NERVOUS...just ready to get it ordered and get my ass back to SLEEP! if i can stop my brain from processing the fact that i finally have it ordered

Have your watch you want favorited in the store app! Have your payment information saved in the store app. That's what I have done. You folks should have no problem ordering.

I noticed a difference on shipping options between apple pay and the traditional CC method. (on the App). If I select apple pay, the shipping is set to standard and it cannot be changed. If I select "other method" of payment and use my CC on file then I can chose expedited shipping before noon. My question is, do you all think that expedited shipping option will be available for a first run product launch like this? If so would it be worth it on launch day? Thanks!

So is not at 00:00? My dad was wrong god dammit

If only there was some magical site that would tell you this exact information at the very top of the page clear as day

http://store.apple.com/uk

No need to be sarcastic, precisely becuase of that I was asking. Other websites said 00:00. Gee.

It's ....

12:01AM PST - West Coast USA
03:01AM EST - East Coast USA
08:01AM BST - UK

Not sure what you mean by choosing a store.

Pretty sure the apple site is your best source for this info.

anyone now how the order online then store pickup works? I plan to order but maybe not pick up for a day or so.

also, aren't they limiting folks to one watch reservation? otherwise, folks would buy multiple and return them, since waiting for try-on appointments may mean a longer wait than rapidly ordering something.
