What percentage?

the replacement i got has the same issue, i know atleast 3 people with the same issues...loads of people talking about experiencing the same exact problem

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1947029&tstart=0

or google for it, just about every mac forum has topics of people having the problem.

barefeats website talked about it only 5 -6 days after the release back in juli...up till now not a word from Apple and was reading a few days ago on a forum that some other poor kid just had received his mac pro and was experiencing the same problem meaning they are still shipping out computers with faulty hardware...way to go Apple, you are truly a quality brand!

if there's negative comments then there probably is a reason for it, unless you like paying 5000$ for a computer with a faulty graphics card, and yes a large % of apple's mac pro's have faulty graphic cards and they know about the problem but don't do anything about it, so as a paying customer i think i have the right to be a bit negative, but i guess when youre a fan boy its different then everything with an apple on it is great.

and no, apple didn't brainwash me, apple tricked me into making them believe they actually had good and descent products...turns out they are more a toy and icrap making company than anything else

anyway back to the the hippy crap

Just out of curiosity, how long have you worked for MS?

how long have you been riding Apple's ****. and do you get payed for it?

ok give up guys, you're not gonna get any sense out of his ten year old

Millions of people just buy Apple products because they are brain washed, nothing to do with the fact that they are the most reliable, easiest to use and best devices and computers out there.

If your mac has a fault get it repaired! Complaining on the internet is not gonna help.

P.S The Beatles are the most popular musical group ever.

I was reacting to your comment above.

Where did you try to get it repaired?

Do you accept that the Beatles are the biggest musical act ever?

No one can trick or make you do something without your permission. Your free will of drawing your own assumptions did you in. If you truly feel that way then don't buy another thing from Apple. But to say they "Tricked" you is ridiculous.

I can't believe this brain-dead thread is still running... OR that people are actually buying a virtual "box set" of the Beatles from iTunes @ one hundred and twenty five pounds sterling!

What did it take for you to trick (you'll call it "justify to...") yourselves into paying REAL cash for a virtual "product", when the real, physical thing is £6 cheaper on Amazon?

I thought the majority of us Apple users were smarter... I was evidently using an opinion formed back in the days when Apple products were used, for the most part, by semi intelligent people who weren't drawn in by shiny virtual boxes rendered in Maya, and touted as real products on iTunes.

How I laugh to myself inside, with slight disbelief! :D

PS: Apple haven't, and didn't ever "trick" you... if you are crazy enough to buy things that don't actually exist in a physical space for such ridiculous amounts of REAL MONEY, then you need to have a quiet word with yourself. How I laugh.

Maybe people would rather have it digitally and don't want to go to the hassle of ripping all the rips. Some people like convenience.

Just because they're using itunes doesn't mean they're on a Mac.

I have that box and I find this hard to believe. The box brings much, much more over the downloads and ripping the CDs to AIF format brings the best of both worlds.... for free. Just a little time, that's all. No, I would never, ever buy such a box-set in digital form. But don't let others be deterred by this, it's your hard earned money and you could do whatever you want with it.

Wow, you mean iTunes is available on Windows tooooo? :p Yes, that was a slip up on my behalf, and what I fool I look now. I don't see how ripping CDs is a "hassle" - iTunes does it for you. I'd find myself feeling far more annoyed having paid all that dough for a non product, which is nowhere to be seen or touched :(

I would have to say that "incovenience" is, ironically, a rather convenient way to portray something involving minimal "effort", in the modern world of pampering and over-convenience. You make it sound like the user is asked to put on his furry boots, and walk a mile to chop some logs for the fire. It is hardly a chore! How very spoiled and lazy people have become... this is the price they pay for creating the illusion to themselves that they are "far too busy" to slide a CD into a drive, and click "rip". Astoundingly lazy, they deserve to be robbed in this manner, and to be laughed at by all around :D :D

The only circumstance I can see which would justify (possibly) this purchase, would be a MacBook Air, or iPad/iPod/iPhone which is never connected to a computer with an optical drive. Unlikely, as I am sure the majority of people can afford even the most basic of Windows computers or an iBook, with optical drives.

Personally i like the physical product, but I'm not going to wish harm on people and call them names because they like convenience.

There's a lot of people that don't know or care what AIF format is. They want the music on their computer and iPod the easiest way possible. Click a button, down it comes. I rarely buy digital music, because i prefer to have the CD and rip it to my own standard. I make my own copy of movies even if they come with a free digital copy.

There are various occasions when Beatles appear like they came to india to host a show ,and they did great, and else they visit to arab countries for a concert show and now they are moving to the itunes stores.good.

Erm...the physical thing that you can buy from Amazon, unless I am mistaken, it is a little disc that stores digital media. How is that different from having them stored on a hard drive? I agree the price is high, but for a smart guy (I'm taking your word for it) you seem to be a little narrow minded. Is it because they are backed up? What?

Hoefler get over it. I once had a MBP that was shockingly bad. It annoyed me and I felt a little disappointed, but I have had 7 macs and only had an issue with 1. I seem to be the inverse of you, I know about 20 people with macs and they all love them and have never had an issue. So you and your friends are just unlucky (if those 3 other people are real of course and not some fictitious backup for your indignant rage).

I honestly think it's a good thing. Wether you like their music or not, having The Beatles on iTunes might be a good chance for a young crowd to 'discover' them

The digital file on CD is at a much higher quality than the compressed files you buy on iTunes.

Other than that, for a difference of $6, I'm not sure what people are complaining about.

No, the boxset on Amazon is their entire collection on remastered CD, in lossless audio. Much better than the downloads on iTunes.

Why stop there? Vinyl records have better sound quality than CD's. Tell him to buy the vinyl records instead. Better yet, lets lobby for Apple to put out special edition Macs with a slot large enough to insert an LP. Or we can progress and embrace new technology. "I am just sayin."

I think the point is the new technology is not as good as the last one and its more expensive!!!

The point is that compressing the audio files from native CD- to another format isn't new technology. Distributing them over a network isn't either. Buying the actual box-set gives you the CD's, the mini-LP covers and the liner notes. AND you can rip those CD's to AIF and enjoy them in iTunes. For little more than some of your time. If you download the tracks, you have just that. The tracks and nothing else. At almost the same price. I bought the box-set, what others want to do with their money doesn't concern me of course.

Why do cable companies like Monster and Rocketfish stay in business when they offer nothing better for 10x the price?
Because people are easily tricked by "premium" branding, that's why. Just because a premium product exists does not mean it's any better at anything.
Like Apple products..? :p
