This has been floating around in the forums for a few hours now, and was shocked that I'm just now seeing it.

This is the direction the next iPhone should be going in.

And yeah, there really is no need for the lip on another mock up thread. This mock up blows the others away.

I just puked. Again.

WOW. This mockup looks shockingly similar to the iPhone 6 mockups. Minus the hideous home button.
It looks more like a Samsung Galaxy/Note type of phone than anything else, not that much more beyond that.

Having had seven or eight Motorola phones over the years, it looks like a Motorola to me.

You're nitpicking small technological details like the flash and dock connector that have changed over the years. The shape and thickness look very similar.
Flatter/thinner and larger (with similar 3G/GS curves)? Seemed like a fairly logical progression of where the phones were headed around 2009 even. As I mentioned overall more of a predictor of what the Samsung Note and Galaxy phone like is like really, and Motorola to some degree--basically a more generic design with an iPhone look in the back but certainly not the front.

You guys are missing the point (except iBlazed). The point of reviving this old thread is to show that a mockup from 2009 looks pretty close to the mockups we've been seeing recently for the 2014 iPhone(s). That means whoever designed this mockup way back in 2009 could potentially have just been five years early (or a time traveler).
