It's relevant because you felt the need to create a thread about how you no longer have the "special" feeling of iphone exclusivity, which was all about you, yet you come in this thread and bash someone for making a wishlist.

You have no idea what Apple reads or doesn't read.

I'm not even going to bother defending myself because no matter what I say, sinsin07 just won't get it

is your half-brother a legit pitchman, or does apple disregard his ideas.

and either way, there's a pretty good chance not many of the propsed ideas will happen. some are just too unrealistic

like I said, I know it's a wishlist, but c'mon

it doesn't matter if they actually like is ideas or not, all that matters is that he's one of the research teams that search to see what the customers want. it's not just a group of like 5 people; it's a group probably the size of maybe 100-200 employees doing research for what the customers want, then they meet and discuss what is logical to include and not.

all that matters, is that they DO read forums about what people are saying. you were probably saying the same thing about AT&T that "they don't read these forums".......then how the hell would they know if all the forum sites are bashing them or not, which they acknowledged in their video.

You have no evidence that they don't read these forum sites, just a personal bias and a winey attitude. I, in fact, know someone who actually DOES IT for apple. therefore, i've got evidence, you dont; so you dont know what the hell you're talking about. so sit down, and shut up. you need to see that everyone here is telling you that you're wrong but you're so ignorant you don't care to see that. if you don't like thread by someone....DON'T READ IT

I'm not even going to bother defending myself because no matter what I say, sinsin07 just won't get it

no, no one gets what you say because you're comments don't make sense. and i agree with sinsin07 that you complain about people opening threads, and then you created your own.

seriously, just stop reading this thread. leave the OP alone that this is a WISHLIST thread; what's to stop him from saying he wants the next iPhone for free....it's a WISHLIST, not a "lets pressure apple into having these features on the next iPhone" thread.

iPhone 4th Gen

here goes.

Design:
* redesigned outter shell with stronger polycarbonate or other material; strength and no more crack issues. Cheaper for hardware replacement expense for Apple (improved share pricing), and better consumer confidence.
* Get rid of the silver lining. This thing is a gold standard now in terms of tech & customer satisfaction, and should reflect this. The industry has copied it to death now. I'm not saying gold but different design.

Hardware:
* T.I. OMAP4340/4430 or the Samsung equivalent (no LESS).
- Dual-core ARM® Cortex™-A9 MPCore™ with Symmetric Multiprocessing (SMP).
- Integrated POWERVR™ SGX540 graphics accelerator drives 3D gaming and 3D user interfaces.
- IVA 3 hardware accelerators enable full HD 1080p, multi-standard video encode/decode.
- Up to 150 percent performance increase at the same frequency versus the ARM Cortex-A8 core
- OMAP4430 operates at up to 720 MHz/OMAP4440 operates at 1+ GHz!!
* 3.2/5MP camera with Liquid-Lens for Optical zoom. Reduces thickness and its lower on power than hardware zoom lenses!
* Video Calling Camera; not the industry vga standard either. Many users want video conference and with the Cortex A9 cpu we can have mobile iChat in 720p or close to it over wlan/HSPA+ networks.
* HSPA+ radio (triband: 850/1900/2100Mhz)!! 10-21Mbps Down/2-5Mbps Up speeds "Yeah baby Yeah"!
* INCREASED Battery Capacity and IMPROVED lower power consumption overall.
* USB 3.0 support via the 30pin connector! This doesn't sacrifice USB2.0/1.1 compatibilty ;) .
* 512MB RAM capacity.
* Increase Storage capacities: 32GB Min/64GB Med/128GB top end/150GB premium model.
* LED on main camera please! some of us are vampires and like to take night pictures of our prey ;) . Seriously club parties is where this camera hurts the most.

Software/Firmware:
* SMP support and more functions/features from OS X Snow Leopard come down to the iPhone possible cause of the Cortex A9 cpu (its MUCH better than Tegra/SnapDragon hype).
* Ability to do the following:
- Run 4 application simultaneously with an opaque overlay with HOME button held for 3seconds to switch. These application of course are outside of the Calls/MMS/SMS/Push-Email operations. ONLY 1 GAME can be launched/run at a time since they consume copious amounts of power yeah!
* Save sites & documents in PDF natively.
* Call list: Green highlight hue for calls made, and Yellow for calls received. Just like they do for Missed calls in Red, squinting to see an icon to determine which calls I made and which I received is horrible. Also call during time would be nice natively (showing any conference calls as well & to which numbers and their subtimes).
* Allow apps to either record calls or block calls so long as they CLEARLY state that you MUST notify the other party before doing so or in some countries not admissable in a court-of-law.
* BETTER landscape keyboard layout. This thing is EXTREMELY accurate thus there is no need for it to be so HUGE.

There is more but I cannot think of it.

I disagree

Most jurisdictions state only one party must know. Maybe have the option to inform and the option not to

Quad if not quint band UMTS radio. So 850/900/1700/1900/2100, 3G on T-Mobile and other GSM carriers that use 1700/2100 and 900 for euro operators that offer UMTS 3G servces on that frequency. 900 is a must in my mind though at minimum. Throw in LTE and wimax support but make it hidden like Bluetooth tell the services are in place/widespread.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD; apple please get like a 99999999999mah battery I'm sure I would pay 100 USD more for a phone that lasts more than 2 hours with all it's bell and whistles going.

There is more but I cannot think of it.

150GB won't come, at least not with flash drives. It has always been like.

1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 etc. etc. GB.

Next year probably the 64GB model is going to be added, and if we have a lot of luck a maximum of 128GB. Higher it won't go for a while.

What I love about these threads is that it actually pisses people off because there are other threads within the same topic. How about this, if you don't want to read another thread about [insert repeated topic], don't view it! Apparently these threads don't bother the moderators or else they would lock every one up as soon as they are started.

I just got my first iPhone (a 16gb 3gs) last week. I know there has always been a lot of hype surrounding this device, but after using it for a few days, I can honestly say that this has to be one of the greatest electronic devices ever made.

That said, there a few things I would like to see in June, they are;

SOFTWARE:

- Updated UI

- Different notification settings. I like to receive calls with a vibrate and ring, and all msgs with just a vibrate (setting a different vibrate beat for each type of msg).

- Background processes

- iChat mobile

- Someone mentioned a msging "unity" inbox, I think this is a great idea.

- The ability to manage playlists from within the iPhone without having to use iTunes.

- Notification icons on the top of the screen.

- more customizable.

HARDWARE:

You know, the usual: Faster, Better, More Storage.

Haha, I agree. Not only that, but every time somebody posts to complain about the duplicate thread it only keeps the thread going longer.

i love the design once i got my hands on my own. feels just right by me. would like a better camera. i just think it downplays the phone, wouldnt make it complete but would be a smack in the face to other devices lol. some how a more battery power and somehow to manually configure what does the most draining and less. design wise i know this sounds impossible but someway to prevent water damage you know. quite a few people have dropped their expensive devices in water.

Turn things On/Off easier solution

I thought of (maybe others have too) an easy way of turning things on/off easier: Shortcuts/Aliases.

Imagine this: you want to turn off/on 3g, wifi, etc. You navigate (for the first time) to the page for the item you want. There, you would find a button to "create shortcut." This places an icon on your home screen. Hit that button and voila, your there.

Personally, I like to turn on/off my "show caller ID" feature depending on who I am calling (don't ask me why; it's too complicated).
Currently, it takes 5 steps: Settings --> Swipe Down --> Phone --> Show My Caller ID --> On/Off

With a Shortcut feature, it would take 2: Shortcut to Caller ID --> On/Off

This seems like an easy software feature, doesn't it?

I BET iPhone "4G" features:

1) LED notification light built into the Home button. Makes sense, right? Lock the screen and the Home Button glows green for a message, blue for an email, red for push, etc. (RAINBOW for a call?! Hahaha)
2) Expose or some way of multitasking. Everybody keeps whining about this.
3) Thinner overall, but same basic design. Maybe a unibody plastic like the new White MacBook?

Yeah, just thought I'd share my "lightbulbs." And if it's already been discussed, I don't really care. :D Happy Thanksgiving!

The Led home button is the only idea I like. The others seem tacky. For background I would say that Apple would do something only half-usful like allowing sound to play from apps in the background. 3gS ipt 3g and new iPhone only.
