Hej, u change to mac so u can use i life and i work

they are just incredible

u dare to change to mac

why not something more.

I big thing that scares me about apple is their generally shotty hardware. Go in the macbook forum and 70% of the topics are about things failing/hardware issues. Now i would love to buy apple care, but my macbook is a couple years old and i bought it off ebay from a guy who didn't buy the applecare plan. I think it says alot about apples confidence in their on craftsmanship when they only give you a year to buy a warranty. All that says to me is we know it's gonna break so you better buy it now or you'll be paying out the ass when you computer craps out. Thankfully alot of the main parts that would fail in my macbook have been recently replaced by the first and only owner.

Just gotta point out the flaws in your reasoning here. The MacBook forum is about problems with your MacBook. Software problems are common to all machines and will be posted here or somewhere else, so what goes in the MacBook forum? The hardware issues.

Of course, that's not to say that Apple couldn't do a better job with the hardware – they really could.

Hmmm, at least use Babelfish to translate man....

What, you don't speak haiku? :D

Well that particular section of the forum as far as i can tell is designated for "general macbook discussion and problems," but it seems to be overrun with alot more problems that general discussion.

Like i said though, i like my mac alot. Everyday i learn new things and it makes me happier and happier to be a mac user. :D

I can see where this is going. It's cool to say you have a Mac these days.

So what happens is, You got Mac converts buying them and then run windows on it!

If your going to Spend $2000.00 Dollars or more on a Mac. Then spend 60% or more of your time using windows. Then Buy a PC and use Windows.:p

Macs are like auto cars - nice and easy, dont have to worry about the gears. Just push on the big pedal to make it go

PCs are more like stick shifts - more for enthusiasts

Think thats an accurate analogy?

I recently (dec '08)changed from PC to mac for a couple of reasons....

I was ready to upgrade my Laptop and didnt want Vista

I have iphone and ipods so made sense to go with OS X

I got tired of crashing, waiting, virus checking, waiting......

And was curious and wanted to see what all the hype was about!!

The price differance did initialy put me off the mac as I am not using for bussiness and couldnt really justify the price- compaired with PC.......although I now know you cannot compair the 2........and I love this thing the more i use it

You'll never look back :)

No idiot ballons

No viruses, no need for anti-virus programs that slow down your computer

No inexplicable slow downs after a few months of new windows install

Takes seconds to shut down (but mac users typically don't need to shut down or restart very often), instead of minutes

No need to press START to shut down

No need to wait when you plug in a new mouse to wait for driver install

industry standard music programs don't run on PC. Thats the real reason I switched... everything else is a bonus!

Hmmm yeah cause Steinberg doesn't make PC software does it  neither do Adobe Audition or Traktion and Cakewalk nor Reason doesn't exist does it? hahaha

Though Logic is a very nice suite :)
