The CANADA iPhone 5 Pre-Order STATUS Thread!

I ordered through Telus and I'm unable to track my Iphone 5, And I haven't seen any canadians confirm that they have as of this time.

I got my shipping email 4 days before my iPad was due to arrive 3/19 (launch day)

I'm on the same boat as every person that ordered from apple, still showing "preparing for shipment" and delivers" 9/21-9/25"
 
Glitch? This is what the apple rep told me in our little chat.
Excuse my grammar :(

The rep also said they could not give me a clear answer on delivery dates.
Just told me it all depends on "your order in line."

Somebody should ask a question along the same lines to see if they can get the same answer.
Might get some more clarity on the issue.

so in the UK, most orders were showing as preparing for shipment until this afternoon. now they are showing as shipped on the 15th. so lets hope something similar happens in canada tomorrow!
 
I HOPE THIS NEW INFO IS RIGHT :)

I am going for surgery on Friday and the doctor's office is right around the corner from the APPLE STORE so I might pop in before the procedure and get my sim card!! :p

I can understand that part of it. It can be fun trying to figure things out, and I do it myself. What Flight is it on, Where did it ship from, etc.

It's more the people that have reached the point of obsession and have been contacting the carriers, Apple, UPS, etc, utterly convinced that they wont be seeing their iPhone on time, just because they have not received their tracking info.

Read through the posts, and you'll find many people are at that point.

On that part I agree with you, I've read every single post this thread in my spare time, I'm sure everyone that preordered at the right time will receive their Iphone 5 on Friday, and if they don't then its only 3-4 days after when the activation and sim card lines will no longer be existent. I personally don't care if I get it this Friday or next week, as long as it's not some time in October lol.
 
I'm pretty sure most of us will see the phones come on Friday. If my card and others are showing 9/16 it was charged, that's probably when it was shipping. They just arnt giving us the info. Reference is not working for anyone in Canada for some reason but someone said they had tracking info for a MacBook from apple and tried tracking that order by reference and even that didn't show up. I'm sure when we do get the tracking info it will have already come half way across the world.

Still it is frustrating. I'm just glad I've had a cold since Friday and have been taking NyQuil every night, otherwise I probably would be too excited to sleep lol
 
You know apple hands out sims to customers who pre-order though apple.ca....
Spoke to an employee at the Apple Store at Eatons yesterday was told to come back Friday and walk into the store.
 
So I called apple today to find out some info on my order. I got a confirmation email of my order on sept 14th at 3:19am eastern... I'm located in Toronto an they said It I'll be delivered on sept 25th.. What's up with that? Has anyone else got or heard something similar ?

They are telling everyone who calls the same thing. The apple site clearly says when you'll get it for each delivery zone. I'm thinking Apple is telling you the 25th cuz no matter what you will have it by then. If you get it earlier it's not like you'd be mad, bit if they tell you the 21st and it's late then you and others would be calling up saying "you promised". I think they are just playing it safe and trying not to make promises they can't 100% guarantee.
 
yea, things don't look too good. Apple online support said it should ship by the end of the week....

Read previous posts, it depends on what delivery zone you're in. If you're in delivery Zone 1 you'll get it Friday, zone 4-5 and you won't get it until the 24th/25th.

regarding zone 1 - apple rep says it is still possible but it is a tight squeeze.

How have you been getting Apple to tell you all your expected delivery? And how have some of you been able to tell when your iPhone was manufactured? Thanks! :)

if your order is prepared for shipment, then go to your apple support profile.vyou should see your serial number there.

There are various websites that can decode it for you. One of the things encoded in the number is the week of the year in which the phone was made.

Very true.. But it's just weird.. Maybe I'm being to parranoid.. But I haven't even got billed for it yet. When I called I asked if everything was fine.. An the girl said it should be everything is prepared to ship.. I even asked why it was the 25th an not the 21st.. Said I lived in zone 1 an she said yeh well sometime the different curriers have to fit you into their route.. Blah blah blah.. I need to take the day off in order to sign for the phone so I'm hoping I get something soon

I haven't gotten charged yet either, ordered at 12:15 AM PDT. When did you order?

EDIT: Just checked, and I've been charged. Dated 18 September.
