Yeah, it looks like we have our tracking numbers but does anyone have actual tracking? Doesn't appear like ups picked them up yet. I don't see a delivery date on it. The ship date we all see is when the label was generated.

Also, my lightning cable also shipped last night. That was fast! It is expected Monday.

UPS Express Saver is a guaranteed next-day delivery service, so as long as Apple gets the packages out to UPS today (Thursday, Sept 20), we should still get the package on time.

Same here Shipped/Billed on 17th.
I just wonder if it's in China or state side right now, hope it's somewhere in North America.

UPS Express Saver™

DeliveryCommitment
Next business day delivery by 12:00 noon to most metropolitan areas
Saturday delivery by 1:30 p.m. available to specific destinations

Based on that last line, I'd say they're shipping from Canada and we'll have them before noon!

Mine has also shipped on Sept. 18 with the tracking number just now appearing, however the tracking page has no progress except a created shipping label. My shipping is also UPS Express Saver (2 LBS) and apparently these are the benefits of that shipping type:

"Benefits
- Guaranteed delivery during the next day for peace of mind
- An economical alternative for next-day shipments
- Free UPS packaging available for your convenience"

Guaranteed next day delivery? With a Sept. 18 shipping wouldn't that basically be Sept. 20 delivery?

It sounds like UPS has our phones but they have been instructed by Apple to not release them until Friday. They probably aren't releasing tracking numbers in the hopes of not getting calls from us to try to get them delivered earlier than Friday.

So now that we got the UPS tracking,… I tried to search using the phone number reference,….

Nothing showed up!

Hey guys - based on the fact that they are shipping ups express saver, our phones are already in Canada and are going to be delivered next day service to us (to arrive tomorrow)

A few days ago I read a post where someone in the know states that the pallets were to be shipped to Hamilton and then broken down and distributed from there. Looks like that person might be right.

And hey, I'm in Hamilton so my phone might be right down the street!

Edit - I think the tracking is right. I think these packages haven't moved from the Canadian warehouse yet. They'll be picked up today and overnighted to us.

I know the 4S' were delivered to Mount Hope, so it's possible. But then from there it goes to the sort facilities in Toronto usually, then back to the local hub, then sent out for delivery.

I still expect we'll see them tomorrow. Apple knows how to ship stuff.

Mine is a 64Gb Black iPhone and my invoice says it shipped on the 16th, billed on the 17th. Ordered 3:18am on the 14th :)

Don't know why my package is listed at 3 lbs though, unless that's just a standard weight class.

Mine says 3lbs as well. Both of my Rogers phones shipped at 1lb each. Weird.

Mine also is now shipping, I ordered it at 3:07am EST Friday.

And like everyone else I have 1 device but it is showing 3Lbs... Oh, and if these are in Hamilton thats good because I live 10 minutes from the airport :)

Already in Canada

Hi,
Same here, status changed to shipped overnight with shipping date of 17th. I read somewhere else that Apple ships iPhones in bulk to make customs clearance easier and starts the distribution process in the country and not in China.
Therefore - as mentioned already - I believe as well that the iPhones were in a warehouse (in my case Burlington near Toronto where I live) for a couple of days already, the logistics were sorted and now that everthing is nicely labeled and ready to go, Apple releases the shipping information.
I guess this is the best way of doing it (from a logistical point of view) I would however wish that Apple would explain their process with a bit more detail so people don't go mad, call hotlines and make the poor reps mad. So much apparently, that UPS posted a note on the American website not to call agents re iPhone 5 delivery dates moving forward ...

Hey ho, enjoy tomorrow!

Add me to the shipped club!

What's weird though is mine says it was shipped on the 16th. And UPS says the label was created on the 18th. I think Apple and UPS are just really back logged with all these orders and the statuses can't keep up, so they're delayed quite a bit.

Just received an Email from Apple, making the tracking number official.

There's one bit I don't like, tho!

Left Apple:
16 Sep, 2012

Receive it:
25 Sep, 2012

Yikes! Despite leaving Apple on the 16th, it won't be here until the 25th.

Although, on UPS' website, it's mentioned:

Next business day delivery by 12:00 noon to most metropolitan areas
Saturday delivery by 1:30 p.m. available to specific destinations

Next business day for us is… well, tomorrow.
