Just had to cancel my Black 16GB Iphone 5 Bell pre-order today. I got an email this morning saying I had to call in to process my order. They said due to a credit check you have to deposit $400. Anyways the person I was speaking with told me to cancel and order tomorrow since the pre-orders, and orders placed tomorrow starting 8AM SHIP the same day. I then asked what is the point of pre ordering if all the phones ship out the same time. He apologized and I cancelled. I kind of regretted not getting the white iphone since I was reading in other threads about the black anodized aluminum scratching off so maybe it was a good thing.

thats a stupi reason to get white over an issue thatwas only an icolated incident

Yes its true. I have checked yesterday. They have to keep your iPhone for 8 days at the store. The seller should be call you tomorrow.

Thanks for the info...Don't think I'll be able to wait for the call though...I might just show up at store opening and give it a shot..

Well, apparently Telus buyers will get the email confirmation no later than 5:45AM tomorrow morning, looks like thats 5:45AM PST.

Ah, I swore to myself I wouldn't get involved in this thread because I'm already refreshing my UPS page like crazy!

But after reading a good number of posts her on MacRumors I have come to the conclusion that this is 'likely' what's happening:

Apple batch sent a huge number of iPhones to local warehouses across North America. There were reports that they were all guarded by security, so obviously Apple does not want these shipments to be looted, or sent out early. We received our 'Preparing for Shipment' status once the iPhones were shipped from China to the local warehouses. Once they arrived, they were likely unloaded, sorted and packaged for shipment (probably yesterday). Once they were packaged, printing labels were printed and assigned, hence why we now see 'Shipped' as our status. Apple is now holding onto these shipments until the last possible moment to release to UPS/FedEx so there's no risk of early delivery. My guess is that later this afternoon/tonight we'll finally see that they were picked up on our tracking page. UPS/FedEx will pick them up tonight, ship them overnight to all the Zone 1 cities, and they'll be delivered tomorrow morning.

I guess I could be really off on this, but given Apple's attention to detail, I'd suspect this was all planned out a while ago as a way to deter stolen shipments, early delivery etc.

Hope this helps peoples nerves!

Don't hold your breath waiting for UPS tracking info... I've purchased stuff before where no tracking updates were applied until the damn thing was delivered and then the full tracking history finally populated.

All the customers who pre-ordered during the first hour who are shipping to zone 1 will get their phones tomorrow. Many of us have been through this with the iPad3 and last year's 4S. Don't worry people!

packagetrackr.com says my phone is already in my city by the looks for their map . packagemapping.com on the other says it's in Burlington. Let's hope the first site was correct :p.

sorry I didn't see that... but I just find it strange cause everyone is reporting theirs are coming from Burlington, ON... only Rogers/Fido shipments have been showing Concord, ON... but hey congrats!

ordered 2x 64gb from apple.ca (one white one black) at 1214am PDT.
I can see my serial numbers.

got the email this morning from Apple re: shipment.

using packagetrackr/ups, I see my order is due for delivery by tomorrow end of day (I am in Victoria, BC).

lastly, Apple told me it would arrive on the 25th by phone and in the shipment email I received this morning.

So at best, tomorrow and at worst the 25th.... wow delivery 9/21 -25 was so correct! They're mind readers!

***edit*** lol, join date Dec 2005 and this is probably my 2nd or 3rd post. :) last visit Aug 25, 2011 lol. Great thread tho. I just had to sign in and post!

Mine is still not showing anything other than "Ready For UPS". Ordered at 3:10EST so I was within the first 10 minutes of orders. Hoping I get updated soon so I can relax. I want my iPhone NOW!!!!:p

I'm glad they are seem to be already in Ontario since thats where I am. Hopefully that means better odd of delivery tomorrow.
