Seeing how the phones are still in ON, its probably gonna go overnight to Vancouver for morning delivery. That is really some special shipping.

I'm in Hamilton...mine changed too. Now I have to go to the apple store before 12, so i get my nano sim.

I feel your pain, I'm in AB and had the exact same thing happen. What time, exactly, does 'end of day' constitute anyways? 6pm?

I think it's 7pm

Mount Hope is where Hamilton International is (YHM). Looking at FlightStats, there are no direct flights to Vancouver, but there are several cargo flights scheduled throughout the night (not on UPS, but on Cargojet Airways).

The packages destined for Vancouver would need to connect in YYC or YWG. Looking at the departures for several other days out of YHM I don't see this many Cargojet flights so could all of these planes be holding iPhones?

it looks like W8 571 may be the one that gets to vancouver, with a stopover in Calgary. Drop the iPhones that need to be in Calgary and hopefully vancouver!

Anyone waiting in line in toronto (square one, sherway gardens, mapleview mall)?

I'd like to know if all apple stores will be opening at 8 for this,

hopefully ill get it before 5...

A drive from Vaughan to Mississauga is an hour or so..

i think its just the sheer volume of deliveries they have to do.

all i can hope for is that my house is near the warehouse and i receive it in the afternoon!

Scheduled Delivery:
Friday, 09/21/2012, By End of Day
Last Location:

Coming to Saskabush - Booya!
But it said "by noon" a few hours ago - hmmmm

Hey, I have a question.

If it comes in tomorrow, and it will apparently, what about this "micro sim" thing?

I want to switch from Rogers to Sasktel. I wonder if Sasktel is going to have stock of these new Micro SIMs or what? Sasktel won't be selling iPhone 5 until Sept 28. I have a feeling it's gonna suck, and I'm gonna have to go to Rogers, and tell them to activate it on my regular Rogers month to month account, and then just switch to Sasktel after.

Hmmmmm.

Are these new Micro Sims a problem for anyone? Or just me cuz I am in Saskatchewan and the Sasktel people are not yet familiar with the iPhone 5?

Hmmmm

iP5 is the first phone which uses nano-sim, not micro. if sasktel doesn't carry iP5 they will not have nano sims.

You're right- I didn't think to check if one of those flights terminated at the listed destination or if that is just a stopover. Indeed, 571 continues to YVR after a 50 minute stop at YYC :) The packages should be in Vancouver in 6 hours (assuming I'm right in guessing these flights are where the packages are going).

I'm hoping they get them delivered by noon as originally estimated rather than the 'end of day' the tracker now states.

It was on their website so I 'reserved' one and they called to confirm it was available for pickup. Still assumed it would be for the 4/4S, but nope....sure enough it was for the 5. They're not out yet....she had them in the back somewhere, presumably with the phones and other accessories.

I went in tonight to Future Shop because it showed in stock online. I asked and they said "no we don't have any" tried showing them that it showed in stock on my phone and the girl wouldn't even look, just kept saying they don't have any and don't know if they will have any.

I noticed when I got home it said "reserve" so I reserved one and will go tomorrow and pick it up.

Hey, just had to register to comment about this.

I was down at the SaskTel store (Saskatoon, Scotia Center) to get a new SIM card to cut down to size. They were more than happy to give me one so that I can switch my number over to it tomorrow. I would assume the nanosims will be distributed with the iPhones themselves later next week. If you go in asking for a SIM and a plan, there should be no reason for them to say no. Plus, it won't be crazy busy in there!

but i wont be surprised they fly one here though haha. i talked to an UPS cargo worker today at my work place, he said that they had to arrange special trucking and flights to ship the iPhones over. Each truck load of iPhones has its own tracking as well and is accompanied by couple Apple guys.
As for Cargojet, their office is right next to my workplace. Their flights are usually during night time. I somewhat doubt they will use them to ship it over to the west coast.

I just sent a thank you tweet to the TelusSupport Twitter, because, really. No one thinks of the poor Twitter staff. Their week has probably sucked.
