The CANADA iPhone 5 Pre-Order STATUS Thread!

Reserved mine online with Rogers early yesterday.

Noticed today that my reservation status changed to 'in progress'! 😱

If this is any indication that I will actually get my hands on my phone this Friday, I am very happy! 😀

Rogers is really working hard not to give away those $50 credits...hehe...

The nano sim is actually a thinner card than the micro sim. So it would be hard to cut the micro sim to fit.

Ordered a black 32gb iPhone at 12:02 through the iPhone app, status changed to preparing to ship earlier this evening.

Went to the Rogers store On Calgary Trail just south of Argyll road, they said they don't have nano sims to sell.

Anyone know where I can buy a Rogers nano sim in Edmonton??
 
Im planning to call Fedex early and ask them if they can hold it at the FedEx World Service Centre near my work place. That way i can go pick it up right after work instead of missing their delivery. Plus i think thats where the phones will be distributed for delivery.

so I'm upgrading my Blackberry to iPhone (FINALLY). I'm currently with Rogers. I've had my Blackberry for two years, and if I want an upgrade I have to pay an extra $100 early upgrade fee.

I want the 64gb iPhone which I think is best suited for me. How much will the phone cost? Is it $399 + $100, so $499?
 
I got a preorder in really early but its not preparing for shipment yet.

Anyone here with Virgin Mobile / know if they have nano SIMs yet? Would Bell SIMs be able to be activated on Virgin?
 
Ah, I didn't think of getting a nano sim in advance. Will try that this week.
However, got my confirmation at 3:13am EST but mine isn't prepared for shipping yet... hope I get it on Friday. I am in Toronto. 16GB Black. Longest few days.

That sounds right. However, that comes with extending your contract by 3 years.

Ordered at 3:10 and I'm still at processing as well (delivery to Hamilton). I'm not too worried, was like this last time too.
 
Confused about my Apple.ca order now. My confirmation email says "9/21-9/25" on it, but now when I look at my order online, it status is "Processing Items" and its Availability is 2 weeks and it delivers 4 Oct. 🙁

It's marginally thinner. I'm going to sand it down first and get my buddy at Apple to grab me one when he can so i have a proper sim

I don't think it works that way. You have to get a sim from that specific provider to have access to their services, and their network. Someone with greater knowledge, feel free to interject but I'm relatively sure that's how these things work ; ).

Not sure about the availability of sims from Virgin as yet, sorry.
 
Does anyone know what the difference is between Holiday Shipping and Standard? My Apple.ca order switched from Standard Shipping to Holiday Shipping today...
 
Has anybody seen there status change to "preparing for shipment"??? Seems like some US orders are already departing...

If you go back a page (and even a couple on this page) have already had their status change to "preparing for shipment".
 
Anyone in east coast Canada whose status is "preparing to ship"?

BTW, my boyfriend pre-ordered through ROGERS. He was 450ish in line for 16GB Black model and as of yesterday his phone is being processed! So... there is hope for those in the higher numbers!
