Just arrived at rogers plus store at highglen and markham road. I'm 3rd in line and there are only 5 in total!!!! If you want an iPhone this get here in the next 20 mins or so. And also there are 2 people outside the future shop right beside the Rogers plus store
 
Lined up outside Rogers plus store this morning on my way to work and was so happy bc they said they have pleanty in stock. Then they come out and the four people in front of me wanted 32 gb and then they announced they were out. So I was out a 32 I was sooo close. I'm sitting at work very very angry :mad:
 
I finally got something besides a server error on the Rogers site, but it tells me it can't complete my hardware upgrade at this time! WTF! :mad:

Now I'm back to getting a server error.
 
I've called about 5 Bell retailers around the Moncton area... no one has iPhones yet... some said they're expecting them today. Others said they'd only be getting them in a week or two. This sucks big time...

How do they not have them? I was under the impression that every store will have atleast 1 in stock for the launch..

Like 1 to 2 weeks? wtf

that sucks for us Monctonians. Rogers only offered me 399 to upgrade to a 16GB iPhone 4 so maybe if I wait for them to have phones in stock locally I can get a better deal.

Absolutely terrible morning for me.

Lined up 4th at my Best Buy for almost 2 hours, person tells me they have 3 for Rogers, and the 3 in front of me were ALL with Rogers.

So, I moved inside to the Rogers booth, and I happily realized that I was the last one that filled in the pre-screening form for the very last iPhone they had in stock. Then the person tells me the account holder must be present to sign the legal contract. My account holder isn't even in the country, and they wouldn't even let my primary user to authorize me. I'm a secondary user and I can't do anything to the account.

So, I had to give up the very last iPhone they had in stock. How does no one through the 5+ phone calls to Rogers this past week inform me about the account holder being present?

Wasted my morning, ended up with ALMOST an iPhone.

Rogers is just trying to protect THEIR ass. you'd be surprised at how many fraudulent HUP are done every year.

Wow that sucks. Sorry to hear that. My account holder is out of the country but the rep on the phone said he needs to be present. So there is nothing I can do.
 
Got Mine!!

Got one from the Rogers store on Prospect (Fredericton). There were about 30 people in line and they only had eight 16GB and one 32GB. Worth the 2 hour wait (I got there at 8:00)!!!

Not everyone in the lineup looks happy. ;)

I'm not blaming Rogers for this, I know it's for their protection. Just that the multiple CSRs that I talked to over the phone can clearly see that I'm not authorized to do anything when I'm asking them questions about HUP. So maybe they could've at least mentioned it to me.

Me being mad is probably more about the fact that I knowingly had the very last iPhone in stock more than anything.
 
Seems like not all Rogers Pluses will have it on launch day. I called 3 in Winnipeg, and it seems like the main "receiving" store (Polo Park) last year was the only one that had it on launch day...May well be different in Toronto though, since Winnipeg is much smaller....
They opened the Apple Store this morning at 7. I walked in 20min late. Wow the lin-up was impressive from a Mid-Westerners POV :)
I didnt stick around (late for work). Drove by the Rogers up St. James and ther was a dozen in line and they look like they slept there. The store opening was 9am. I could have waited in line at that one but who knows how many phones that outlet has compared to the big store in PP.
Im doing both iPad and iPhone today hopefully :) its my Xmas, I deserve it ;)
 
OMG Telus is not doing the 6GB for $30.:mad:

Can I get the phone now and speak to retentions later?

Call rogers tell them what happened and that you lost an iphone because of it.. Tell them to go check the recordings.. your gonna score something out of doing this and being super pissed about it! Just tell them the date and time to check the recording and that you were not informed and waited for hours because of this..

Posting this from my brand new 32gb iPhone 4! I bought it unlocked, and it's on the Rogers network. Just got it 2 hours ago :D

Something of note: the "deathgrip" is nonexistent on this one it seems. I even tried to get some of my family to try, but it stays at 5 bars. Maybe Canada got a secret fix ;D
 
Got my iPhone! I went to one Bell store in Barrie but they didn't receive any yet and won't get any until 1 this afternoon so I drove to the next one and they had 14 in stock. I was 3rd in line and got a 32GB model. So gorgeous!
 
I went to a Virgin Mobile kiosk 2 hours before it opens and a rep was there and she told me that they would receive some during the day and since I was the only one waiting she took my name and phone number so she can call me when they arrive. She also said that I will have 45 min to pick it up :p
 
Got a 32GB at Rogers in Ajax. Was shocked that it only took 20 minutes to activate! I lined up since 5am. Now time to sleep.

DEATHGRIP IS A LIE!!! Seems to be an AT&T-only problem.
