Blackberry plans can ONLY be used with a Blackberry. iPhones, Androids, and other Smartphones can use the same data plan.

Blackberry data plans can be used with other phones (iPhone, Android, etc.). But the regular data plan can't be used with Blackberry. The only difference between the plans is that the BB data plan gives you access to RIM's servers. People who switch back and forth between iPhone and BB either use a BB plan or a regular data plan with the SOC code APN3CON added to their account (that code gives you access to RIM's servers). A lot of CSRs will try to get you to switch plans if you're using hardware other than a BB with a BB plan though.

Next week could be considered July 12-16 and the 2nd week is July 19-23

The iPad was released in the U.S on a Saturday, so a Saturday launch isn't out of the question. However, I would expect a Monday/Friday launch date from Apple (possibly a Wednesday..). Hopefully we here something soon, above all else I want to know if pre-orders will be offered this time in Canada.
Actually I think it is. The Friday was a holiday so Apple didn't have much choice when it came to Saturday.
So what if you try to call Rogers to lower your monthly bill and you threaten to cancel but they say ok and start to walk you through the steps to cancel your contract?

Haha you have to play the cancel card carefully. Use it to get to a retentions rep and then state how the carriers offer better plans and you feel like you're paying too much. And of they say let's cancel, then make an excuse like let me setup my wind acct first, also you have 30 days to "uncancel" (made up a word) your cancellation
Oh the 8100 ... I too am using this until the I4 comes out (or until I decide the signal issue is too much and I go 'droid).
I bet Apple will release the new firmware before the iPhone launches in Canada, so the issue will likely be solved by then.
That's assuming the issue is software-related, which I'm not completely convinced from what I've read/watched.
Yeah the antenna software "fix" Apple is talking about sounds more like a bandaid solution than an actual fix for the issue.
I am glad I'm not a gambling man because I would be broke. I went as far as to affirm to a friend last week that I was pretty sure we'd see an announcement today. Boy was I wrong.
