Tech Vest

I have one of those, (albeit a different brand name, Ogio). I feel like a tech SWAT team member when I wear it  It has a large pocket in the back for laptops/netbooks/iPads and multiple pockets of various sizes for carrying other accessories/equipment.

Damn, now another $100 gone....

What do you guys think that will be the best and most practical folio for the iPad? Something that still allows you to store letter-paper in various maps, pens, business cards, ...

So far, I would say the Happy Owl Studio folios best fit this description.

It looks nice, but an extra zip-pocket for keeping various stuff in would be more practical.

But I'm sure we will be covered with a gazillion storage methods in the coming months :)

I just ordered a carbon fiber case for my iPad over at DRO Concepts.

here is the link. http://droconcepts.com/ipad/carbon-fiber-ipad-case.html

I have one of their Guardian cases for my iPhone and love the protection. Most people will point out it is pricey, but man it they make nice products.

Looks very cool. If I had the money, HAHAHA but I just spent almost $900 on an iPad. I think I will prefer to actually use my iPad naked and actually I quite like Carbon Fiber so maybe this will be an option in May after I get paid again.

Ewww the Vaja ones look really nice too!

Hmmm I dunno- I'm not impressed by the pics and I question how secure it is with just a single narrow velcro strap. Plus $140 for it turns me off. I can get a nice leather satchel for that. Just saying.

I went ahead and ordered the Macally Bookstand. I'll provide pictures when I get it if anyone is interested.

I went ahead and cancelled my order for the Macally BookStand. I found that other stores (i.e. MacMall, and Provantage) had the BookStand for $12-$17 cheaper than Macally. Also, their online order status system kept telling me I had not placed an order. When I called the store that handles Macally's orders they said they had not even processed it yet.

I'm just going to go with a cheap sleeve and wait to see the other iPad case options roll in.

This is not an accessory as such, but I didn't want to create a new thread. What are you guys intending on using to clean your iPad screen? I'm assuming a microfibre cloth be sufficient?

So far, I haven't been able to find a bag that fits an iPad that has a separate protective pocket for an Apple wireless keyboard and an extra pocket for a few cables and accessories. it does have to look nice and cost under $100. Does anybody have any ideas?

By the way, this leather folio from iKit looks like it could be better than the "vinyl plastic" that the official Apple case uses. I'd be interested to see Apple's case in person, hopefully it's textured closer to a fake leather than vinyl. In that case, I would likely buy Apple's case if it's available at the Apple Store.

I don't know what your style is, but I was looking at this Skooba Nebook Messenger http://www.skoobadesign.com/product/netbook-ipad-messenger-81/. For a netbook messenger is slightly larger, but appears it can accomodate the iPad, the keyboard, and others.

The Tom Bihn Ristretto for the iPad is a nice choice. It's priced a little too high, though, considering it's very similar to the large Tom Bihn Cafe Bag down to the materials used. The iPad bag has one extra compartment inside, which is kind of necessary. Does anybody have any Tom Bihn coupons that they could send me? That would be appreciated ;).
