Lookin good

10w = faster charging?

No, that's the standard wattage for both iPhone and iPad and higher wattage does not automatically mean the charging goes faster. It depends on the destination more than the source.

Crikey, that MacAlly bookstand is ugly (no offense to anyone who has purchased). And expensive considering they don't even list the materials, or not that I can see; and more so with the unreasonable shipping charges. I think for that price point I'd far rather go with the official Apple case.

Still wishing futilely that the Quirky Cloak was available NOW.

To each his own as far as looks. I like it better than the Apple case because it's thinner, no larger apple logo, and still has similar configuration as the apple case. As for the material, it does state it is suede.

I agree the Quirky Cloak looks good and if it was coming out anytime soon I may have held off. However, I'm not sold on the whole Quirky experience and will wait to see what users say about the actual product.

I have no qualms about changing out my case later if a better option comes along and I can always sell my old case on ebay or something. I went with the Macally Bookstand because I liked the look and the function and its available now.

I am hoping that when I arrive at the Apple store on April 3rd that there is at least some modest selection of accessories from which to choose and that the MacAlly products are there among them so that I can see what's what before plunking down any money.......

I missed the suede part. And sorry, I do agree it's an objective thing. Something about the very light gray and the tan accents bugs me. I think I talked myself into believing that when this item became available to buy they would offer it in different colors. I do want something with that construction type (kickstandish) though. (Heh, I feel like we've been having a similar conversation for a few weeks now...don't these people WANT my money!? Where is my perfect case?)

Yeah, I've been checking different companies almost on a daily basis to see if there are any new offerings in the works. I really think this thread is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to cases that will be available for the iPad. No need to apologize, everyone has different tastes, and its good Apple products get the best selection of accessories so there is bound to be something for just about everyone.

Look at on europe site its black leather

The incase netbook sleeve available at Best Buy looks like it may be a good fit. Really want incase to announce their official iPad case soon.

You better get good overall protection for the iPad since most of us will hold it like you would hold an iPhone, if the iPad drops to the ground it would most likely be total lost unlike an iPhone.. Be carful :)

Caselogic VNA-210

I wanted a small case so I can carry my Ipad with me on a trip. I don't trust it in my luggage and I wanted a sling over my shoulder bag. I will have my Ipad in the Apple case. The Caselogic I got is designed to fit a 10.2 inch netbook. It's quite thin. It has a dedicated compartment for the Ipad and another one for the charger and pens, etc. I think it will work just perfect for me. I will put my Ipad, with the Apple case cover on it, into the Caselogic for trips. On Caselogic website, about $20

A new one for you all I think

a. Happyowl deliver for prices
b. The macally case as per note above...

The black is definitely better than the tan, and it does do the keyboard style fold (ish)

Anyone know what happened to the hardgraft guys?? They took their site down right before the iapd comes out? That was the end all be all case.

Has anyone thought that many people would want to have the fold over so that the iPad is not in landscape (movie) mode, but portrait mode?

Like if you were typing on a bluetooth keyboard and using iLife or some new MS Word app.

Someone needs to make a kickstand or a iPad cover that can let it stand up in either way- just like photo frames that can be horizontal or vertical.

Here is one on ebay-- ugly yes, but in vertical portrait mode for those that are looking for one.

Waiting to hear on shipment, got email last monday saying I would hear in 5 days. Knowing my look they will launch even more. But I really liked the one I chose so looking forward to it. Just want a wallet style case for work too.

If you don't mind me asking what was the price you wound up paying? I'll be waiting till 4/19 to order these cases. They look fantastic.

Both the iPad cases are 59euros, but you do

have to pay Austria VAT at 20% then postage (not much for me as in UK). I went with this one, as I thought it would match the muzetto better being a darker felt and the brown leather.

But was tempted by other one! I also like the fact you can hold this one with the strap..

they do it for kindle too, which I originally thought no - don't want to think its a kindle lol. But I like it :p

Ok my Muzetto is set to arrive on Tuesday. Now if Vaja would just hurry up, I can order my case!:D Of course, I still have to wait another month for the 3G iPad, but at least when it arrives, I'll be ready!
