Thanks a bunch to the OP for this post. I've been looking around for information about iPad accessories! Also glad to see some people in here who have some love for the device.

+1. Thanks for putting this in an easy to find spot. Any word on a dual iPhone/iPad charging station? I'm potentially looking for something to put in my office at work to charge both of them.

Just get a powered usb hub, it'll charge them.

i hope speck comes out with a case, if it wasn't for their iphone case my phone wouldn't look anything like it does now! i'm a fan of their stuff!

I'm looking for something that combines the Apple case with other features. My ideal case:

Nice black fabric / leather folio style case that can be used as a stand like the Apple one. It would have slim divided pockets inside for holding handouts from lecture or papers that need to be handed in and maybe a pen / pencil holder for tests and quizzes. An elastic band that holds the headphones would be a bonus. Also needs to have a simple latch to stay closed and a REMOVABLE cord for carrying on the back like those small drawstring backpacks. Waterproof material would also be a bonus, with a price of $50 or less.

Instant buy for me as a college student. Wouldn't need to bring anything else to class!

I received an email form m-edge. They have all the Kindle stuff lined up for the iPad.

They have a really nice stand for it in the works.

The design of the IPad is so simple I think a lot of these things can be made sight unseen.

Not sure though

Has anyone found any small light metal folding stands for the iPad? I could see me using one a lot. It would be neat to set up on the table at Starbucks while I drink my coffee and read the morning paper on it. It would be nice to have a small light slip case that has an extra little pocket to hold a stand.

I think the idea of Apple Case is spot on. Triples as a protective case, stand(picture frame), and more ergonomic typing platform. This plus a bluetooth keyboard would fill all my needs.

However, the people who actually handled it seemed to have only a mediocre impression of the quality and feel of the material. I think I'll need to handle it first to see if it's worthy of cradling my baby :) Same functional design in a lightweight, handsome case (maybe leather) and I'm sold.

The scoshe Kickback looks interesting, but something about the aesthetic of the material seems a little cold. The good thing is I think I'll have a ton of more options by the time the 3G is released. (Yes, the wait is killing me!)

What about this option? I like its looks. Simple, clean, sexy.

The Apple Case does look good. My only worry is that the on desk angle might compromise the screen image. Does anyone know if the iPad screen might be superior to laptop screens for "off angle" viewing?

I suppose the user would be looking down instead of forward like a laptop. In addition to the Apple Case I might be tempted to use my Logitech laptop stand that would give it more on angle. That might be too much of an angle to type on. I guess we will see how many ingenious stands will be developed.

It definitely will have better viewing angles than a laptop. MacBook Pros all use TN panels, and while they're fine and offer great refresh rates, the IPS display in the iPad offers unsurpassed viewing angles.

Thanks. That puts that concern to rest. I don't know if I'm going to be able to hold out for the later debut of the 3G when the Wifi ones start floating around.

wait!

without an iPad to work with all of this stuff us premature. manufacturers seem to be touting their netbook bags as iPad worthy.

the apple case seems to be the best thought out to date. the ability to fold over [like the cover of a paperback, standard on most kindle bags] and prop up your iPad seem to be required

Loving the leather :)

So have ordered (ok perhaps bit before time!) the personal man bag care of Waterfield
http://www.sfbags.com/products/muzetto/muzetto.htm

Now just need a nice leather sleeve or case - similar to Apple one but less Apple in your face! Liking the http://www.happyowlstudio.com/pictures.html :p:p:p

But will wait for that as the manufacturers need to actually get the hands on one, to make sure it fits and doesn't slide out!

But would only use case for away from home, already have a lap top man bag styly but wanted something smaller and the black with brown looks sweet! :D

YES! I've already seen far too many Netbook/Laptop cases here that are being trotted out as IPAD worthy and they are not. It's just part of the madness that will end I hope when the IPAD's start shipping.
