I will eat fast food when there is absolutely no other option. I hate McDonalds, Burger King and all those types of places I have to say. I am very careful what I eat and despise paying over the odds for crap food. :)

I have only heard of 3 of the options in the poll. I am assuming they are American chains? McDonald's, Burger King and KFC are the only ones I recognise from the UK.

While I voted gross, should be illegal and this poll is horrible :D I must admit to going to McD's once every couple of months. Actually they are pretty good in Switzerland which I put down to use of local ingredients and some of the special Swiss sandwiches are really not bad. There are far better burger places here, and other countries' ground meat dishes like kebbe from the Middle East or pljeskavica from the Balkans is much better tasting.

Tip: go to chic-fil-a for breakfast but order a regular chicken sandwich from their lunch menu. They will have to make it fresh, and it will be well worth the wait.

Fresh means squat when it's generic chicken breast from the local slaughter house deep fried in vegetable oil with half of your daily amount of sodium in one small chicken sandwich.

We all understand that. Sometimes we just want something that tastes good. Actually their chicken seems to be of good quality and is antibiotics free.

I don't consider five guys fast food because its not. But Cookout is. They have a drive thru.

Chik fil a for the same reasons mentioned earlier.

What a burger is good

In n out

5 guys pays min wage to have high school kids flip burgers that are ready in under 5-10 mins. Sounds like fast food to me.

White Castle. It's what I crave™

We used to have a White Castle here in Denver way back in the 80s. Used to be on Colfax avenue not far from the Ogden Theater for those who may know the area.

I remember those small burgers and the fries. Can't remember what they called them, nails or something. They closed down that only location here sometime in the 80s.

Sliders. They're called sliders.

I'm sure a White Castle in Denver would never close down today, due to recent changes in marijuana laws. :D

For sure! Peyton Manning owns several Papa Johns pizza locations here. In an interview a few weeks ago, he said that the recent "law changes" have been good for the pizza business.

White Castle came and went entirely too early here.

Far fewer White Castles in the NY area than there used to be but that's where you went to eat after partying all night. Or a diner.

Chic-fil-a gave me a coupon for something the past couple of weeks, and I went to go use it today, and they took the coupon, put it on my receipt, and didn't actually give me the stuff it was for.

Rmackner here would say that's a good thing though, hahaha.

Give it a rest man, we know all it's bad. ;)

Eaten In-N-Out all my life, but somehow never managed to get something 'secret.'

Had a mustard grilled Double-Double with chopped peppers. Amazing.

...I totally want one of these from Del Taco right now, but it's like > one thousand calories :p

I'm.......horrified.

Ditto, why the fries??? It would be maybe good without them, still pretty calorific - just the extra fat and carbs are not worth it.

Anyway, I've had much much better Mexican food from humble food trucks in NYC for cheap - and it didn't take that long to prepare.

Fast food makes me feel like I'm going to puke within 10 minutes of taking the first bite. It makes my entire body feel terrible. I only eat it about once a year.. and it's usually some circumstance such as being stuck on a long car ride in the middle of the night with nothing else open.

Responses: Nothing, Eww gross

Texture, and salt :D Still weirded out by potatoes in burritos. But fries are ok.

For what it's worth, it's not real Mexican food... But ultimately prefer Del Taco to Taco Bell, which I'm not too big of a fan of. The "cheese" seems more realistic for one, plus not a fan of Taco Bell's tortillas. They make a few good products as one-offs though. Someone from NorCal can tell me how much I miss Jimboy's.

Fast food is ok every once in a while. Couldn't do it every day.

I had sausage gravy at Bob Evans the other morning that took the minimum wage server less than 2 minutes to dip in to a bowl from a container and put two biscuits from a warmer to a plate. Does that make it fast food?

Well, that's more like soup. It's prepared ahead of time. If you order soup, it comes out quickly.
