Soooooo yeah, read the whole thread. Tracking wouldn't hit until the first scan.
This has happened in every major Apple Launch over the past few years, FedEx has shipped loads of the most popular unit out, literally overnight (charges and all)

So looks like this theory was absolutely wrong, as predicted.

Yep. I'm pretty sure if FedEx was going to be deliverying any Apple Watches today we'd hear reports of deliveries by now.
