Stop being a fanboy and trying to defend your purchase. Who cares about bench scores. If it doesn't perform, those stupid bench scores don't mean squat.
Go away troll....grow up.....Stop attacking people because they do not agree with you. There are several people here in this thread that we disagree with what the S5 is and will be......BUT we don't attack each other over out disagreement. So go away and attach someone else.......

Benchmarks do mean everything........do you understand what a benchmark is?

----------

I already have an S4 so its not a significant upgrade.
Then don't buy it..... Simple.....but you don't have to put down the S5 or attack people who like to justify you not getting the phone. Enjoy your S4....it is a great phone.

Did someone hurt your feelings? This is the internet. Grow a thicker skin. I know what benchmarks are but they don't always translate to real world usage just as that video shows. You're still stuck on the specs and benchmarks bandwagon. That ship sailed a long time ago because the 5S with dualcores outperform Android quadcores.

Yes...the internet...where people think they can just be rude because they are not face to face. You find out quickly who is real and what character they have.
Do you see the video I posted..... Look little man......go pick a fight with someone else. The adults are having a discussion.....

Too true....

Best bet is to just ignore and don't give the poster the response they are so evidently soliciting, especially when their original comment was something so flippant and didn't add anything to the discussion in here.

OK so dont buy or use their products then, seems pretty simple. I personally dont use most of their features, I root my phones but I do like their products as do millions of others.

It is frustrating that after all this time they still can't get TouchWiz to run smoothly. In every comparison video I've watched the S5 lags when launching apps. It's not a huge deal, but it is noticeable and shouldn't be happening.

Exactly my thoughts. There are videos where you can see that even the M8 is faster loading the apps.

At this point is clearly a TouchWiz thing. It just acts the same way as my SGS3. It's faster, obviously, but still lags behind the competition despite having the same hardware (and even a slightly faster processor).

I'm also hating there's still a hardware home button when almost everyone else is using on screen buttons (HTC, LG, Sony, Motorola).

At least Samsung is always excellent with their camera.

I like the home button

Must remember the hardware button is actually the finger print scanner too, so they can't just drop it for on screen buttons.

That being said like mcclld, I'm not bothered about hardware home button, my concern with the device as is with all Samsung devices.... 'Touchwiz'....

Here is a very in depth video of the Galaxy S5 in action...going over all the features.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=5M1ZCc7Wjkw

There was a moment in the video that had me in stitches.

About 8 mins in he is talking about the emergency contact where you can record a sound and message and send it to your relative etc.. He then goes on to say in a straight dead pan delivery (being serious) "this is a very handy feature if you are being robbed or killed"......

Yep nothing more handy if you are bring killed than sending a loved one a voice recording at that precise moment ... "Aghhhhhhh" :D :D

Priceless....

It gets even better, it takes a picture and sends that at same time :D just for that lasting reminder :D:D

It was funny watching the video....that guy used one hand the whole time. I can't use my S4 like that.........
Also i did not know the S5 has so many features.....some very useless! Some I might actually use. But most of them i just turn off TBH....

Because the first thing that would instinctively spring to mind when you were in danger, would be "Now wait a minute, blind panic - resume when I've found my phone, dug through ten menus and tried to remember the name of that 'feature'"

Both-hands facepalm.

Just got done playing with the S5 (again) in my local AT&T store and I do have to say that I do have one concern. The external speaker isn't all that great. It's actually muffled and not very loud at all. I was concerned about this because with the new IP67 certification, it seemed like they'd almost have to block the speaker from allowing water to get inside. :(

Already gave warning. Nobody cares unfortunately. Guess HTC should take note since Samsung sells so many more smartphones and maybe they should think twice about their camera instead.

Turn the volume up on the S5. It will shake, rattle and roll.

But this shouldn't be an excuse as Sony gets pretty good performance out of the speakers on the Xperia Z2 (stereo speakers as well, I believe) which also carries comparable IP (58 vs. 67 of G5). I'd say the biggest flaw with the S5's speaker is placement.

The S5 looks good. The carrier S4 left a bad taste because the software was the yuck, but with the iPhone 6 a ways off I might consider a full purchase of a GPE S5 to fill in the months in-between.

The S5 has the same speaker placement as the S4 and all things considered it was a nice speaker. It didn't provide the best sound quality but it was definitely good enough. I use my external speaker a lot so this does have me concerned.

I've brought this up in the past and Samsung faithful just downplayed it and stated majority use headphones/earbuds anyway when listening to music so it's not that big of a concern. I never understood why manufacturers placed speakers on the back of the device. These are smartphones where people look at the screen while using it. Speakers should be on the front.
