Thats why i pick a phone and stick with that phone. I dont know how some of you can have multiple phones like that. Not to mention it is a costly habit.
The iPhone just hasnt been an interest to me in quite some so that elliminates one from when i have to pick another phone. Even the bigger screen isnt enough.

You need to join a forum to know you cant share things on iOS like you can Android or use a different keyboard if you want to? Most people have used both operating systems.

Id agree if we were talking about more technical things but knowing you can choose more things is right in font of your face in the playstore and who hasnt heard of Swype? Your the one assuming people are completely stupid.

Who ? My wife and my son are long time Android users. They don't know what an AMOLED is, and surely don't know about swype.
You are assuming people out of this forum are tech geeks like us. They are not.

I think I'm losing my mind... after having the S5 for two (frustrating at times) weeks I went back to the iPhone 5S on Friday. Now 3 days removed, I'm finding myself missing the S5! I think I'm hopeless!

Well, you surely have a lot of money to waste in the process ...

I wouldn't come back to the S5, after the first frustrating experience.
It is not changed in the meantime.

Wait some more time to discover what is going on with other products (Lg g3, Sony z2, iPhone 6).
The S5 street price, as usual, will drop quickly while the resale value of your 5s will keep quite well.

I would call that a normal reaction when switching OS's.

When I dumped my S4 and ran back to the iPhone 5S after only 2 months, I missed a few things about android.

Now that I have replaced my 5S with an S5, I miss some things about iOS.

Though, truth be told, because the S4 was a turd, getting me back to the iPhone was easy. My S5 is a beast and damn near perfect. Speed, power, performance. The screen is ridiculously good. Getting me back to an iPhone 6 will take a lot more than a 4.7" screen. The hardware and software will need to push the envelope a bit more than we saw between 4S and 5.

I'm in a jam now.the person won't except the gift and told me to return it as they have an upgrade and already on a capped 2gb plan.

The same day I got the gs5 my gs4 got kit Kat update and my gs4 is running clutch and does everything I need.so do I keep the gs4 as a backup or return the gs5 and wait for the prime?

I really wish review sites would re do there reviews on the gs4 with all the latest patches and latest os because my gs4 is night and day faster then when it first came out.

Legit went from a 1400 sunspider score to a 700 and runs 3x smoother then when I first bought it.they even calibrated the colors more and the screen looks better.

I'm sure the gs5 will get smoother with patches and updates aswell but to tell you the truth my gs4 is running perfect right now and the only incentive I have to use the gs5 is the 4k video and better battery life.

To me there is no other difference at all.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of LG or Sony's smartphones. The iPhone 6 intrigues me but from what I am seeing now, the Galaxy S5 will have a higher resale value when the iPhone 6 launches than the iPhone 5s does. The iPhone's resale value has really gone down.

I know there will be things I miss about iOS (there always is) but the positives about the S5 outweigh the negatives, IMO. The few things I disliked about the S5 are all things that hopefully will be addressed with software updates.

I will disagree. The way Android phones drop in price so quickly and BOGO already on the S5. You don't really see price drops on iPhones until after a new iPhone is launched. I've never Seen BOGO's for iPhones. I think this is why iPhones keep a higher resale value than Android devices.

I've got a feeling that this won't ever come to the US markets, it's will most likely be an Asian market exclusive I'm willing to bet.

If it does happen and stays in the Asian market, a lot of S5 owners will still be upset. I don't see why Samsung would limit it to just the Asian market when they know a lot of money can be made selling it to the US market because everyone knows Americans have priorities screwed up and have to have the latest and greatest. I know people who have missed a car or rent payment to purchase a new iPhone on launched day. It's pretty sad actually.

I think people are claiming it wont make it to the US because samsung already has a track record of doing such things. Korea got a S800 LTE advanced version of the S4 around the time the Note3 launched that no other region ever saw. It only gets 3g service on US carriers so I would wager most didn't bother importing, save for some enthusiasts on XDA

Don't forget they also got the cool black S4 with the faux leather back like the Note 3 has too!

^^^^ this...not coming to the west at all......
Just placed an order for S5 then this news posted here. Are you sure it is not going to come to America? Wondering if it is good idea to wait for couple of months and stick with my Galaxy nexus. Using GN is very frustrating experience with sprint data, bad radios and constant battery drain.

As others here have said.....Samsung releases different phones for different markets. The phone is not coming to the US and won't be on the big carriers.....

Samsung has done many variations of their flagship designs for the Asian market.

I read it....like 5 times over the last few months that this rumor has been circling.

Did you see their denial? See the links below...... I mean I guess anything is possible. But since their CEO has denied this rumor it would be huge PR nightmare for them......

Unfortunately, JK Shin has now potentially shattered this dream. According to the Korean media, JK Shin has officially denied the possibility of a premium Galaxy S5, saying that all the rumors reporting its existence are false. Shin instead mentioned that Samsung would be releasing a Galaxy Note model in the fall — a pretty obvious statement.

The S4 was updated a few months after release with the Snapdragon 800 for example. Some markets in Europe got it.

Also there was the Galaxy F with premium build quality.

Resale value of a Samsung phone ??? Are you serious ?

I don't expect Samsung to make any major moves till Note 4 in the USA.

Anything else could and would impact the S5 and Note 3. I don't expect the carriers to be too keen on messing with their big ticket items either.
