Yeah tried both, also with all the developer options enabled a few pages back.
The other thing that annoyed me was if you didn't kill off all your apps at night it would drain 30-40% over night. My 5S dropped 3% last night first night of use.

Maybe you are running some funny apps to drain your battery 30 to 40 percent overnight. This is definitely not normal. You should have been wiser to know this. But then again you are not, by making erroneous comparison which shows you have some grudge to settle.

Most online reviews gave s5 as having good to great battery life.

My note3 drops about 0.3 to 0.8 percent standby. This is with full load of apps like Line, Whatsapp, fb, tasker, s health, ip Webcam etc plus at least about 20 widgets on homescreen.

Yeah but i will only have it till iPhone 6:p:) Wife can have it and daughter gets her IP5:)
Latest iphone mock up on main page are exactly like my galaxy s5 with poetic atmosphere case. Why wait for few months :). I will be upgrading to iphone 7 in two years.

That still is too many months of squinting for me as far as I am concerned plus I really was not using it for watching videos, playing games, etc.

Lesson learned andI sold it. Even my Moto G is now too small.

Get some glasses;) It's good to be back on a phone that syncs with my macbook and iPads. My phone actually runs my business its not a toy:)

Keeping the S5 as my private phone for now. Not prepared to drop $200 +. People are giving them away on ebay.

Set it back up again with developer options enabled and on Art, still slow and lags compared to my 5S.

Android handsets always drop in price quickly, then the price tends to stabilize after about six months (just look at the price people are still getting for the S4).

If you bought the S5 for work purposes, can you claim the loss?

Mmmm... having owned the Nexus 5, M8, S5 and 5S all within the last few months (and all at the same time), I honestly don't think the S5 'lags', and the 5S never seemed to be faster in everyday tasks (to me, anyway). I am generally happy with the S5 (Taiwanese firmware, developer options and Nova installed).

If anything, the Nexus 5, then the M8 appeared to be the most responsive. But once you have a launcher like Nova installed, all seemed to perform similar. I did like the M8, I just wish it had a nicer camera, felt better in the hand (S5 feels better in hand), and although the device is definitely the most 'beautiful', my screen was not flush (neither was the model on display at time of purchase).

Having said all of that, I will be getting a Note 4 when they are released, unless the new iPhone blows me away (but I am not interested in anything with a screen size under 5").

Dude you're so flippy floppy last week you were in here and the IPhone section praising android and how your S5 is so awesome. Now you are saying the opposite.

Robster3,

You were using the S5 as a business phone, right? It must have been adequate enough or you would have kept it past the return date.

I do not care how much one flips, nothing will ever be great for everything. When this is realized, some coin will be saved.

For me the 5S would never had been more than just a phone. The addition of having a phone for more is paramount to most nowadays. The daily driver needs to have more use.

This is a lesson I have yet to learn myself! :D

meh, plenty of people do business from an android phone

I hate this comment 'My phone actually runs my business its not a toy'

iOS still cannot put attachments in email replies, that is a pretty essential business use for me.

Most businesses dont use OSX either, so much of the synchronization benefits are lost.

Android apps like pushbullet offer greater sync than iOS on windows platform that most businesses use.

I could go on... from an IT perspective I'm glad most of my users are on iOS, simply due to Apple's lockdown techniques meaning I have to worry less. But I can do more on Android, regarding business use, than they can...period.

Agreed. There is no one size fits all for phones. We all have different needs and wants. Get what serves you best and let others do the same.

No return policy in Australia, once you open it unless its faulty bad luck, unless you buy a iphone from Apple and have the 14 day return.

Yes I can claim, i am keeping it for private use for now. Screen size is better for my social uses than business anyway, I just got a mini so am downsizing:)
No way it's as smooth as a 5S, even answering calls sometimes you have to try a few times. It was great at first and I was using Nova with all the options set then it just went into a lag fest and I had to re set it. Now on TW.
I may swap it for a Note 4 when out, surely it will be a less of a ram hog and lag free.

When you are in and out of cars all day the 5s is easier to handle and for pockets too.

Sure they do, but I need fluency with my mac and iPads. And don't have time to be stuffing around. iPhones just work. I was looking for a change bigger screen and went the android root, M8, S5, should of known. I am just telling it how it is if the fan boys/girls of any product don't like it too bad.
You may hate the comment but in my case I don't have any land lines and have free call no's connected to my mobile, I can't afford to be having any problems.

I use my macbook for email attachments just use the iphone for checking when out of my office. That was another problem S5 and email with my mac don't like each other.

Yep like everything it's all rosy till it hits the fan:p

Your own implementation just failed

Guess some are not as smart as you then. :rolleyes:Did I say android didn't work for business? Didn't work for me, facts are facts.
Sorry to upset your little android world by telling the truth.

How's your S5 going?

How's your S5 going?

You implied android devices are toys and not reliable for business use

That is fud and your other remarks are nonsense

Sorry, that's how I interpretated that post, even after a reread

And the truth remark makes it seem like you are still insinuating it..

Can't handle what truth?

I am done, you are to one eyed:)

yeah good. you should give yourself and us a break since you have been whining over and over how bad the S5 is, when we have not seen any widespread reports of those problems you mentioned (from the web, media or forums).

All that can be concluded is that either your S5 has defects or you have knowledge defect on how to use it.

Yep a one eyed android phone / iPad user

I won't worry, I'm sure you will flipflop and change your opinion next week

;);)

You may want to read this quote from About Moderation in this Forum:)

This forum is not a free-for-all to bash Apple or Android or anything else. It's a place to share opinions and experiences about devices and systems made by companies other than Apple, and/or to compare them with devices and systems made by Apple.
