I have to admit. I had two reserved: SG Max and Gold Max. Once I saw the fingerprints all over the SG that sold me on the gold. Plus, it's a really sweet color. A lot better than that crappy rose gold.

It depends on the lighting it's in, but it's way less gold in person than the pictures make it seem.

Is the weight difference just a couple grams (or the weight of a penny). I would have thought you wouldn't be able to notice it.

IMO the gold isn't as classy, timeless and sexy as SG and will never be. All these unboxing and videos of people with their gold iPhones makes me happier that I got the SG. Seems like the reason that most people got gold was because it was the new color and wanted to show off. I don't like the contrast between the gorgeous black screen next to the shiny gold band trim. Looks awful.

Is the Space Gray darker than on the X?
I like SG but the back on the X was too grey for me..

IMO the gold is gaudy and tacky. The glass is bad enough, but the band is awful. Honestly it reminds me of being a kid growing up in a house of smokers with nicotine stained ceilings.
