I was bracing for the worst. There's been so much whining about 7 it's really been unbelievable. Do you all need a hug? :)

I updated my IP5 and I don't see any of the "problems" people have noted. There is ZERO lag. The animation is incredibly fluid and flat out gorgeous.

All of my apps are present and the new UI is absolutely beautiful.

Access to the control settings is a bit different, but so what. I figure I'll just use the phone and get used to it over the next few days.

Again, I want to repeat.

1. the new UI is absolutely beautiful and sublime

2. the animation is incredibly fluid and gorgeous

3. the phone works perfectly.

4. All of my apps work perfectly.

5. There is no glaring difference between updated and non updated apps in appearance.

I am really embarrassed for this forum. We have all been misled to an extra-ordinary degree.

The update and install was flawless and the phone operates perfectly.

I reserve the right to come back and gripe if/when I find a bug or minor issue however. :) :) :)

You need to look up the word perfect in the dictionary.

iOS is still NEW there are still a lot of bugs to be worked out. I've been running the GM on my 4S and I runs pretty well. I strongly do not support the need to update to the 5S unless you've got the extra cash laying around to spend. But I believe iOS 7 will get its upgrades and bug fixes as with any new software. I don't know why people expected something perfect out of the box.

Perfect. Since iOS7 is perfect you can tell me why tv shows and some Hilary mcrae music video (who I have no clue wh she is) show up on my ipad and there is no way to get them off. I don't have sync tv shows or music videos checked in itunes.

BTW I have no issue with the look and fluidity. I am simply not that picky.

Are you sure that its not showing your icloud content?

I need a hug #. My download worked perfectly and I do like the new features so far. It's kind of like getting a brand new phone and iPad.

I'm not whining but my only complaint this far is - holy cow - what's with all the white brightness? It's like they changed most background colors in the apps to white. I would imagine all that bright white isn't going to be easier on battery life.

Mackandproud is now a "hater" and anything op says is wrong. Apple please stop working on iOS 7 it has been declared as perfect for one user.

Might not be perfect (no software ever is). I am finding it pleasantly better in many ways. I still gripe that the keyboard is all caps. The wallpaper takes few seconds to change and the button shows no indication of having recognised it has been pressed.

Ipad4 btw

Otherwise no issues so far and i lovethe cleaner look, better app switching/closing. Now i have got the bold fonts and motion off its great for me.

I personally really like the functionality of iOS 7. I of however hate the new icons. Most of them are terrible. The new Contril Center is great. By far my favorite feature. I can't get the panoramic wallpaper to work though.

Perfect? Naw, far from it.

There's an excessive amount of white, animations are **** and slow, music & photos app is a complete mess. Some apps make you go backwards just so you can go forwards.

And a few hours later...

I have an IP5 and got caught up in the hoopla over 7. I want to get back to 6. It's fast, doesn't make me sick, and just plain works.

Do you... Need a hug? :)

There can be no doubt that Steve Jobs is dead! ios 7 would never have seen the light of day under Steve! This thing is pure crap. I have it now on both my iphone and my ipad and iit really sucks. The graphics are pathetic. The usability is a total disaster! This piece of crap SUCKS! SUCKS! SUCKS!

My thoughts exactly. Standards have definitely dropped. Don't get me wrong - I like change and am enjoying the parts of IOS 7 that work.

If it is perfect why has the audiobook chapter functionality been removed? Not being able to see and select chapters is an absolute deal breaker for me, and probably anyone else who listens to audiobooks. This was not available in iOS5, was incorporated into iOS6 and has now disappeared again. I was going to buy an iPad mini to use mainly for books and audiobooks, obviously I won't be buying now.

How was the OP's opinion changed so quickly?

Going from "iOS 7 is perfect" to "iOS 7 is like a bad drug trip?" What?!!

Some of the icons are fun but the red one for Music seems kinda clashy. At least it's easy to find.

The icon for Notes makes me laugh, it reminds me of those labels for 3.5" floppy diskettes, remember? I love it.

I'm having fun learning my way around iOS7 on the 5C. I haven't loaded third party apps on it yet. I set it up as "new phone" and like to do that when working with new OS on new hardware. Keeps the "bowl of jelly" debugging syndrome down to a dull roar.

I'm not going to take my 4S to iOS7 immediately. Or the iPads. Everybody else just gonna hold still while the 5C gets a workout. I'm even leaving my MBP's iTunes upgrade to 11.1 until later, since I'm using the 5C with an MBA and took that one's iTunes to 11.1.

Totally blissed out by the 5C/iOS7 experience so far. Coming from the 4S (which I still like and am keeping for WiFi) the 5C and iOS7 together are making for a great upgrade experience.

I would imagine all that bright white isn't going to be easier on battery life.

On LCDs, there is absolutely no different in power consumption no matter what colour is being currently displayed. Brightness (using the slider) is another matter irrespective of the colour shown on the screen.

If the OP says it, it must be true for all other millions of iOS7 devices...

Appreciate the + feedback though.
