I have to say I was happy they didn't make a fuss...because I was first in line for the mini 4. Now that I have mine...by all means, make a fuss, this is a good product.
Apple should be strongly criticized by the tech media for its treatment of the Mini.
I realize the Mini has not been the most successful model (if reports I saw are right). Well, maybe that's because Apple has not made it good enough, especially compared to cheaper competitors?
I've been watching the Mini for 4 generations now, but haven't bought one because as a photographer I need and want a 100% color gamut. This is easy to find in other tablets, including Apple's own 10 inch iPads.
Had they not neglected the Mini and treated it a like a red headed stepchild with inferior components and screen tech (yet still asking high prices), maybe, just maybe a lot more people would buy one. I know I would.
Initial user reports on this very forum suggest they STILL have used a cheapened screen part for the Mini with lower color gamut. AGAIN. After 4 generations. If true, I am personally flabbergasted. I really, really wanted to buy a Mini this year. Now, I'm not sure that's going to happen.
the mini soon will be out, because of the iphone plus
the ipad mini its just a miniature of the ipad air, where the ipad pro isnt just a bigger ipad air but still a device with accessories and powerhouse
Split screen is more of a Mini 4, Air 2 or pro feature then an ios 9 feature....at least it's full use of itSplit screen is more an iOS 9 feature. It's true that different consumers have different desires, but if you're talking about the general consumer base, you have to admit the iPad Pro / iPhone 6S has more features that are easier to show off in a global streaming event.
I have LG G3 with 5,5 inch display, which has the same diagonal size as iPhone 6 Plus/6S Plus and i can't imagine being without a tablet. Therefore it's quite baffling to me to hear and see all these comments saying that 7,9 inch screen is useless when you own an 5,5 inch smartphone... It's ridiculous, the difference in size and use between these 2 devices is really huge and therefore all these comments are nonsense, or at least for me...
For those who don't believe me I'll try to give them an example (advice), try watching movies on an 5,5 inch screen and then on 7,9 inch screen (even with 4:3) a tell me what's better... Or try browsing the web for a long time period a tell me what is more pleasant... And there's many more...
An 9,7 inch iPad on the other hand is too big, heavy and ,,clumsy" (not quite sure if this word can be used even for a thing???) to be a real portable device, which is the reason why I personally prefer iPad Mini to iPad Air... => iPad Mini takes advantages of great portability and big screen, which is perfect!

I completely agree with you there. My point was more of a counter to the idea that most people who have an iphone have the plus, which seems to be the assumption a lot of people make. The smaller phone market shouldn't be forgotten.I have LG G3 with 5,5 inch display, which has the same diagonal size as iPhone 6 Plus/6S Plus and i can't imagine being without a tablet. Bigger screen. that's it.
I have an iPad Air 2 and it's just as portable as a Mini if not more so...
That makes no sense.
The iPad Air is just as portable as the mini...how hard is that to understand?
I'm having trouble with the part about something physically larger being more portable.
That's a personal issue
I think I mis-read. I thought you were comparing the 6 Plus to an iPad, which isn't what I think you were saying at all, re-reading it now.
