I would go as far to say that if you don't have a charge on your card by tonight, it would be over.
Got the shipping changed to next day. Went from October 4-10 to September 27 - October 1. Still no hope for a 9/16 delivery.
I'm clinging on with you but if there's still no movement by this time tomorrow (no support profile, UPS reference, etc.) then I'm going to have to swallow the fact that it won't be here Friday.Haha, I still cling to the hope that my silver 128GB Plus will magically arrive on Friday, even though it says 10/6 - 10/12.
Hate to say it, but the cards are stacked against. All reviewers were given the matte black 7+ and jet black 7, no reviewers got a jet black 7+. No one got a 9/16 delivery date. No one is seeing any movement whatsoever for their orders. Either tomorrow is going to be one busy day for Apple or the disappointment is going to start setting in.

I would bet on the disappointment setting in. It's a Jedi mind trick " these aren't the phones you are looking for"
I know for a fact that my iPhone isn't getting delivered on 9/16. I just hope I can get my phone before 10/9 when I go out of town. My estimated dates are 10/18-10/31 so that shouldn't be TOO farfetched.

.All the supply issues and apple even saying they wont report numbers I thinks it was an L as early as monday. They really didnt forecast demand accurately this time. But people gonna wait not like theyre gonna buy a galaxy note.
Do not despair. I ordered an Apple Watch for delivery on launch day (4/24). My card didn't get charged until late in the day on 4/23, and then my status changed to preparing for shipment to shipped in the span of 2 hours and I got it on 4/24.

When something ships from Asia, you typically only have the options of 2-3 Day and the "Standard." Also, they put fewer options on launch products whether from the US or not.
I had the two options when I ordered on launch day (I did not have next day option).

Hm. I thought about camping the store if my order wouldn't change until today's evening. I guess that's obsolete then.

This is absolutely absurd. Apple has been doing this long enough they should have known what the demand would be. This is not their first iPhone release, and not the first time they've introduced a new color. Does anyone really think Apple doesn't have a huge market research department? It's ridiculous we still have to go through this every year.
Well atleast I know that getting a plus on launch day isn't a possibility. I guess I'll be happy with my current delivery schedule and hope that it moves up a little from September 27.
We are still in 3rd quarter as far as sales numbers go and already the "demand" has pushed the fuffilment of some product to November. To me that reads that they want 4th quarter / Christmas sales to be as big as possible so they built up hype and then constrained supply.
I don't see this at all being a gross underestimate of demand, I see this as max shareholder value maneuvering and tactics. But it has been enough of a fiasco this time around that with the upgrade eligibility on contracts being more dynamic, I might make my own phone upgrade timing in the early first quarter of the year vs the Fall release cycle.
Many of you Negative Nancy's are going to be surprised when your credit cards are charged this evening and then a delivery driver hands you your phone tomorrow. The speed at which this can happen is alarmingly fast.
For models other than Jet Black, that might be a possibility.. Otherwise, I'm not holding my breath on that.. Not this year anyway..

It's probably because apple sold out of the plus versions worldwide. I ordered 2 regular 7's last Saturday evening. And they both shipped, says I'll receive them both tomorrow.
Sounds like wishful thinking. I honestly believe Apple pushed up their release date in order to take full advantage of all the bad press Samsung is getting. Probably why they are running into big supply issues.
