Phipp, those are some nice pics. Do you keep your ipods/iphone in a case or use a skin?

Is the new nano's screen and case pretty scratch resistant?

I would keep a new iPod nano naked. The screen is glass, same as the iPhone so it's super resistant to scratches and the body is the same metal as the greatest ipod ever, the second generation iPod nano; it's practically bullet proof!

I've had mine for about 10 days now, and I've thrown it in my pocket with my phone naked, and it doesn't have one scratch on the screen. As for the body, you have to be in some extremely bright and direct sunlight to see any scratches.

Purple is nice. Any other recommendations on colours?

I looked at all colors.
All are nice. But the best buy store only had blacks, blue or pink for 8gb
oh what the heck. I like blue, so I took it.

If I had a choice, I would choose RED to support (Product Red)

Nice :D ! Thats gonna be my combo soon but in 8GB Blue nano and a 32 GB iPod Touch for Christmas with nike + ! :D

I just bought the red one and it is my first iPod ever. :D I was actually planning on buying a used 3G Nano 4GB, but then the next day they came out with the new Nano, so I just decided to get it since it was only $20 more than the used 3G.

Just ordered a red 16 gb nano. Cant wait for it.
Been reading these forums for a while now and I want to thank you guys for the nice pics of your nanos. Especially the red-owners. :)

Just got a yellow 16gb at my local Future Shop!! It's pretty awesome :D. I wasn't sure if I wanted one before, but now I'm falling in love with this little thing.

:D:apple:Well, I didn't feel like going home straigt after work so I dedcided to go to my local walmart, about 20 feet away next to our theater (lol) and walked out with a GORGEOUS silver/black wheeled 8gb nano. :D:apple:

Should I return the 16GB blue ipod nano 4g?

I got the blue ipod nano 16GB yesterday at the Apple store. Still haven't opened it yet. I wanted the orange but after looking at the orange, decided it reminded me too much of a burnt orange "Honda Element" color.

So I decided between the indigo (purple) and blue. Purple seems kind of gay to me so I went with the safe blue choice.

So I got home and am having second thoughts about the color. I've have a 1G Green Ipod Mini, than went to a light blue 2G ipod min. I than brought a 2G ipod nano green, and now I'm back to a 4G ipod nano blue.

Maybe I should get away from the blue/green color scheme?

What do you think? 16 GB is kinda of overkill for my normal usage. I also have a 16GB iphone 3g also.

Why do I make impulse Apple product buys?

There's nothing wrong with having a theme in your iPod collection. Some people have several silver, black, blue etc because it's their favourite colour. No point in buying a colour that you don't like just for the sake of variety.

What's your normal usage? Are you going to be carrying around both the iPhone and iPod around at the same time?

Why do I make impulse Apple product buys?

Tis the mysteries of life ;).

Yeah, I mainly use the ipod nano for working out 3 times a week. So it gets about 3 hours of use per week. I seriously do not even think I even need more than 4GB. 16GB is overkill but I always buy the biggest GB package. I took another look at the purple again but it's too much color for me. Purple looks so much better when apple advertises it but does not appeal to me when I see it in person. Same thing with orange. The Apple guys tell me purple/orange have been selling very well.

I use the iphone mainly for the web/youtube/watching movies on the plane since I fly out a lot. Seriously I hardly use the iphone as a "phone" anymore. My Nokia E71 is my main phone device these days.

For what's it worth. I carry 2 phones with me everyday(Nokia E71 with ATT/Blackberry Curve/UMA with Tmobile. UMA is great when I'm overseas because I get free international UMA calls back home to the US). When I travel, I take the iPhone 3g with me. I mainly use it as my mini-laptop wifi device while on business. The iPhone 3g is my fun phone. I only use my iPod Nano for exercise.

I still haven't found the "perfect" all in one device.

Just picked up a 8 GB orange from Amazon.com. 139.00 Free ship no tax.. so i was pretty happy. I debated between the black, blue and orange.. I finally decided on the orange (after playing with all of them at my local Apple store) just because the orange is so original and neat looking, IMO. I will say that choosing a color this time was very hard. All of the colors are so vibrant and neat looking!

Wow that's a lot of things to carry! I only carry my motorola krzr and iPod touch with me.
Anyways, unless you need the money, I say you just keep the iPod and go ahead and open it. You know you want to :p. More memory is never a bad thing.

Closet nano colours

...

So I decided between the indigo (purple) and blue. Purple seems kind of gay to me so I went with the safe blue choice.

Now I'm wondering if all the owners of purple ones will wonder if their friends think they're gay... or if maybe we should think the owners of BLUE nanos are ... but they are trying to hide the fact they wanted to buy a purple one.

Perhaps it's the whole rainbow flag of colours to choose from (Zune owners probably think all nano owners are gay!)

Where's our "join the gay armada" forum dude to clear this up for everyone? LOL

I bought one this Saturday, in orange and it's so amazing ... I never had an MP3 player (or even an iPod) before, I just used my brother's Sony Walkman MP3 player sometimes and it was so annoying.

One thing all iPod owners using podcasts probably don't even think of anymore was pretty cool to me: I started a podcast on the iPod (one I already started on iTunes) and it continued on the position I stopped on iTunes :)

I bought the 16gb Silver/Black today. Awesome ipod! Walked in wanting the Orange but in the end got the Silver because the Orange didn't seem right.

Well I took the plunge.

I ordered a 16gb Silver from the Apple Store online (UK) a week ago and it arrived yesterday. Very sleek, very cool looking.

Took ages to put 9gbs of music on it. Went to the gym, 2 hours later came back and it was still loading.

I never realised how long it takes. That is normal isn't it ?

Oh and dumbass here just got into work and found an email from my friend. I mentioned to her I wanted a new nano. She's only gone and picked one up for me whilst she's on business in Canada. She picked up a Red 16gb.

Yes I'll have to pay for two but the canadian one will be cheaper thanks to the sterling/CAD RoE and now I get to check the whole "Are UK ipods sound capped" plus I'll keep the one I prefer (sound/colour) and give the secondary one as a gift !

Just picked up a 16Gb Nano at the new apple store at Victoria Square Belfast. They had all the colours in stock but I could not decide between red and black so I tossed a coin. Black won, sort of glad it did. It looks so sleek and cool :) However I felt a tad of guilt not supporting 'product red' so I give a few quid to a charity collector in victoria square.

Only been using the new nano for a few hours but you can can see why ppl love them. Its to replace a Creative Zen and the differance in the screen res and click wheel are the main draws for me. Plus it syncs to my fav music store/app....itunes :)

I don't think that's normal, it took less than 20 mins for over 9gb to load onto my new nano.
