Interesting. Ordered a 32gb Space Grey as well at the same time.. guess it's just luck of the draw!
 
Ordered 3 Gold iPhone 5S from Verizon at 3:03 am Friday, Shipped today. They're in Memphis and are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday via Fedex.
 
Maybe I cancelled the wrong order - should have cancelled Apples and kept Verizon's - seems like they are on the move with shipping
 
Has to be random for Apple. 64gb + 16gb still waiting ....(preparing for shipment). Ordered at right at 3am

Yup. My 32 GB Space Gray VZW is still preparing according to their site.

Saw a XX:18 or so phone that had shipped, so it absolutely must be random.

I hope all 1-3 get filled soon. Still sitting on processing ordered 12:00 confirmation 12:01. 64GB Gold. Thought I'd be one of the first to ship. That's what I get for thinking I understand Apple's internal workings.
 
Apple really kinda sucks at releases. This is a mess. It's embarrassing when AT&T beats you to the punch and gets orders out sooner.
 
Wife went to Apple store Friday afternoon, decided on 64 GB silver 5S, not in stock at Apple, walked to ATT store, ordered, it shipped Saturday and is being delivered on Monday (tomorrow) 9/23. 72 hours is good. Glad we didn't order through Apple.
 
Just placed an order 10 minutes ago for an iPhone 5s Gold 64GB.

Order status is stuck on 'Processing Items' WTF? I'm cancelling and going Samsung.

I ordered using the Store App while the Web Store was still down and still there's no indication of any change.

When the IP5 came out, you would either be lucky and get your preorder filled, meaning you would get it the day it actually went on sale, or the store would show you when you get it.

This time it's just like "Yeah, you ordered first ... but ... call us again in 3 weeks, mkay?"

That's not OK, not at all.
 
I shouldve..

1. Ordered it off of the apple store app (bc the website was down until 3:03 and the express checkout was not working)

2. Ordered from ATT and got next day shipping.

I don't know how Apple's system works. I also don't know how many people ordered before me. That first batch could be in the millions. Also, if your information doesn't match 100% between shipping address and wireless account address that may require human intervention.

I've used my Apple Account that I always use, my shipping address and CC info hasn't changed for at least 4 years. That was not was I was complaining about.

I meant that Apple would deliver on time in the past if your order got through, otherwise you'd see immediately. This time, even the fastest orders state 8-10 business days to ship. That has never been the case.

And all of the people I talked to (outside the US) had the same order details.
All of them have to wait 3 weeks,

That's what I'm complaining about. They should have delayed the launch, but they wouldn't because they wanted the worldwide hype of a large release.

The more I think about it, I believe I should complain to let them know...
 
I ordered via Apple Store App, rec'd confirmation email 2.04 Central.

32G Silver / AT&T

Woke up to 'Your order has shipped!' email this morning - due to arrive via UPS 9/24!

Very excited as I was expecting it 9/30-10/02

Live just outside Nashville, TN in case anyone is tracking region ...
 
I'm confused. I ordered my 16GB Gold 5s at 4:30pm on launch day (9/20). Received an email yesterday from AT&T saying it was shipped. On the AT&T site it still says the phone is "Preparing to Ship" and Various SIM card "Back Ordered". The tracking number from UPS is not working. Hoping should update by tomorrow. Really hope I can get my phone this week.
