I consider my iPhone from the first batch being in went into "preparing for shipment" right in the beginning like everyone else's.
I'll tell you what. We're the first batch of iPhones made, and prepared to ship. We were not in the first batch of them to make it overseas.
No confusion, just straight up definition.
5s 64gb space gray delivered at 2pm today. Typing this out on it. FedEx shipped Saturday.
Nice upgrade from 4s. Slow mo video is cool, neat with kids. Fingerprint sensor is fast enough to be useful. Siri is fast. Internet blinks up, but that is likely LTE I'm seeing most.
Auto exposure in pano is awesome. Long awaited. HDR pics are instant which is huge upgrade from 4s.

32GB Slate Grey 5S ordered 9/21 from AT&T shipped 9/23
I ordered a 32GB Slate Grey iPhone 5S 2 days ago from AT&T. The order confirmation said it was expected to ship between 10/1 and 10/10. That was a bummer! But less than 48 hours later, on 9/23 I got another email saying it had already shipped and was expected to be delivered on 9/24. Surprised and delighted, I am.
I ordered a 32GB Slate Grey iPhone 5S 2 days ago from AT&T. The order confirmation said it was expected to ship between 10/1 and 10/10. That was a bummer! I screwed up my 12:03AM order. I received the "Processing" order at 1:43AM for my second order. I wasted a long time waiting to talk to an Apple CSR. 32GB Spacey on ATT. I doubt the order will change to Shipping tonight.
I ordered a 32GB Space Gray TMobile - order completed by 12.05, got the email from Apple at 12.09. And even though the screen showed Sept 23-27th when finishing the order, when I went back to check the order status it had slipped to October 7-10
And of course it's stuck in 'Processing'
Pretty peeved - if I had known it was going to be delayed, I wouldn't have paid for expedited shipping. Not that Apple cares ...

Call or chat with them - say the same thing (nicely) and they will refund your shipping.
Im in the 1-3 day shipping group and I ordered 2 16gb tmobile iPhones, one gold and one space gray. My order has been stuck at preparing for shipment since saturday night. Has anyone else ordered 2? Hopefully it will ship tonight since its the 3rd day.
They're coming in October. No, no update yet.

Well I mean Monday was Sunday night and Tuesday will tonight. And so last friday was the thursday we placed orders. So tonight would be the 3rd day of work for china if you include china, but since technically they weren't given a whole day, they can probably get away with being shipped tuesday night and being ok.

I think that all of us in the 1-3 day shipping group should see our orders change tonight. Everybody else who ordered in our group already had theirs shipped. Its only logical that the only ones left to ship are ours and then apple should move on to the next group, of 7-10 or say days.
