Ordering began at 00:00 pacific time on Friday morning. That was about 3 pm Friday afternoon. They are about 15 hours ahead of pacific time (due to daylight savings).

So obviously they didn't begin fulfilling orders until night shift on Sunday night. (Usually considered Monday).

Hence my saying it would only be three business days so far if you counted friday.

I think it would be fascinating...

...well maybe just for us, for someone to film a documentary following the launch deliveries from China to South Korea, Alaska, Louisville and then on to at least one expecting customer in the lower 48. Just to see the size of these iPhone only cargo loads go through the system would be cool.

I'm enough of a flight geek that I may monitor the ATC chatter at the Anchorage airport this afternoon when UPS 99 is due in :D

Ordered 3:10 Sunday from verizon after checking apple delivery dates had already slid. Space gray 32gb shipped Sunday evening. Gold 32gb shipped last night finally! Was getting worried about the gold one. Chatted with vw rep yesterday and she said anything ordered after 3:30 est Friday was pushed back a week. Don't know how true that is but just sharing. I am in TN btw. Shipping out of Memphis.

My 64GB Space Gray ATT ordered from Apple Store app at 12:02am shipped early this morning. Isn't due to arrive until Friday. :(

But at least it shipped!

One of my two shipments was also checked in on an import scan in Louisville this morning, a few minutes after this (3:02 am) but that is the last update I have on tracking. I wonder if it will arrive today or not (in NYC).

I assume it won't be arriving today because thats a lot of missed in/out scans

Yes, although there could be exceptions now and then. Louisville is the USA hub where international orders arrive and get distributed to the lower 48. Fedex has a similar hub.

Thanks for mentioning this. I didn't want to be a pedant, but people often say "EST", "PST" etc when they actually don't mean it. Nobody in the US (save Arizona) is on Standard Time right now... usually it doesn't matter, because everyone knows what you mean. But technically speaking, standard time is -1 from daylight time (EDT/PDT .. what we're on right now.)

So tempted to cancel my order on Apple.com and start walking into different stores to see if they have any...

So... would it be safe to say that the vast majority of the "1-3 days" group, already have their phones shipped and arriving/arrived States-side?

What about the "7-10 days" people?

And is there anybody who got some other time frame, in between "7-10 days" and the now infamous "October" group?

32GB Silver ATT ordered from Apple Store at 12:30 PDT shipped today (free shipping) for delivery Friday to eastern Washington State.

I doubt they counted Friday. I am glad they shipped mine so fast. It did say ships in 1-3 days not you will receive it in 1-3 business days. So technically they could have waited until today to ship and it would be within the window.

Some 7-10 days people got shipping notification. However they were in this 1-3 threshold, prior and somehow got labeled 7-10 during the purchase period.

While the people who were 7-10 days throughout the order process have pretty much heard nothing.

I wish i could cancel it and then buy it where apple wouldnt make as much money.. It is just annoying that their processing sucks *you know what*. Send the damn phone out already, if att and verizon get their phones delivered before the actual phone creating company... That sir is an issue.

I'm not ordering through Apple again. If my status doesn't change today I will call and complain.

Exactly. My status never changed.

I'm hoping carriers get their shipments from Apple soon too. I'm sure there was definitely some on those cargo planes that keep getting posted. I don't mind waiting I just want to know when it's going to actually be here. T-Mobile seems to know nothing and everyone posts a different story from a rep.

I originally was not a fan of ordering online, but unfortunately I really didn't have a choice.

If this "strain" on supply is completely fabricated, then Apple should be ashamed of themselves. They are making people who plonked down their hard-earned money, to order ahead of the crowd, have to wait. Why not send them out faster, and create your publicity through tangible objects?

However if the strain is indeed real, Apple needs to learn from this problem. People who order on opening day (or even weekend for that matter) should not have to wait weeks for a phone. They truly must have made only a handful's worth of the phone! If they haven't noticed, opening day/weekend sales number are on the rise.

Looking at Flightaware.com it appears that UPS 99 will be leaving in 30 minutes for Anchorage and then on to Louisville. My iPhone 5s 64gb Gray (and thousands of others) will be on those flights. My scheduled delivery is tomorrow by EOD!

Do you have a departure scan for Incheon? Mine just shows an arrival but doesn't appear to have left. Worried it missed the flight to anchorage!
