fyi, my brother just received his email confirmation for his AT&T 16GB iPhone 5S (space gray) from a Target store in Wyomissing, PA.

Because the September orders went through existing stock and planned production units for September deliveries.

I understand your point.

What I'm trying to say is that Apple seemed to have bought into the "negative nancys" in the media. Turn outs on opening day/weekend has been increasing each year. Why were they not more prepared?

How is it fair that people missed the boat for getting their phones this week, by a few hours (or even seconds). With a big company like Apple, they should have prepared for the same or greater turn out from the previous phone's sales numbers.

Some 7-10 days people got shipping notification. However they were in this 1-3 threshold, prior and somehow got labeled 7-10 during the purchase period.

While the people who were 7-10 days throughout the order process have pretty much heard nothing.

YeahI had the same thing happen, started the order with 1-3 days, and throughtout the checkout it changed to 7-10. But as of right now shows still processing (tmobile silver AND) gold 32GB. Ill hold my breath!!! LOL

I find it interesting how Apple's stores get a supply virtually every day (around here at least) and sometimes twice a day but they can't fill orders placed online minutes after it went up for sale.

THIS!!!!!!! Why do the people who woke up and paid first get their phones last? We paid for something that we have to wait for but the people who simply woke up at 6 and went to the store paid later than we did and received a phone in hand.

I hope I'm missing the sarcasm here. Are you really upset that people who bought it in person got it before people who (only hours earlier) ordered it online?

Actually you didn't pay. They don't charge your card until it actually ships. ;)

So I just called the ATT store i ordered my phone from and was told my phone should be shipped today and should have it by Thursday the latest.

Just got mine, in NY.

32gb Silver
Ordered at launch, confirmation at 3:03a Est

Restoring from iTunes right now.

What I didn't expect was the sprint activation prompt when turning it on. So how to they do this? Before they box, do they input this information in? I've never ordered a phone online, so I don't know how this stuff works.

If it says preparing to ship on att does that mean it will ship soon?it reason i ask is it does not say backordered but it does say want ship till between oct 3 and oct 10.

My 5S got to my house around 1:15pm philly area. It is torture being at work right now.

I believe you are starting to feel a bit faint. Mmmm... I think you just got a 19-hour flu. Yes, you should tell your employer that you need to go home. Now. Tell him you were advised by a Doctor. On the Internet. :D

Sorry if this is a terrible place to put this, but those (if any) who have recently, not on opening day, bought the 5s in store , where did you find it? Apple store? Best buy?

Local Apple Store got a shipment around noon Saturday, so I walked in and bought one.

The third day is coming to an end. I ordered a 5s gold 32gb at 3:03 eastern with a 1-3 shipping time and a 2-3 delivery. It still has not shipped. Friday, Monday and Tuesday is 3 days.

I was able to snag a gray 16gb and a silver 32gb today at a sprint store here in San Antonio. With Sprint's discounts for new customers, I got them for $99 and $199. :). I called a bunch of stores and they all said they had weeks long waiting lists, but the one I went to got a shipment today. The lady who helped me said they had't had any since AM Friday and today was the first silver they had seen.

You didnt read my post in reply to that, i am upset how the manufacturer is having slower shipping than the retailers. It should be the other way around, i miss worded what i was saying

Just received my 32GB Space Grey version on AT&T. Absolutely love it, coming from a 4s, it feels like such a big upgrade. Is having a somewhat clicky home button normal? I figured it might break in over time, but just wanted to make sure first. I couldn't any relevant threads posing this question, so I thought I could ask here.

Sure it does if you're ordering at 12:02 am
How does all of Friday not count?

Someone said apple says friday doesn't count. Technically they don't have the whole day so technically I understand why they are allowed to write it off.

edit- beat to the punch ^

Same thing happened to a friend at work - His showed something like 3 weeks after he ordered from ATT (at around 8am Friday morning), and he ended up receiving it yesterday! His is the 16GB Silver.

It is niiiice! I checked out the fingerprint sensor and the camera. The sensor works fast - it's almost like it's not there. Nobody else's fingerprint worked (we all tried, and it would just pop up a message reading "try again, sucker!"). OK, not the sucker part...

I'm really looking forward to that, since I drive a lot for work, and it is kind of troublesome entering a 6-digit passcode every time I need my phone for something. Plus, we have a pretty strict no texting law here in California (the way that law has panned out is that if you are holding the phone in your hand, you are considered to be texting and you get a pricey ticket). I have a phone stand that mounts in my CD player slot, so now all I'll have to do is touch the home button.

The new camera is a noticeable improvement, especially the flash. I'll actually use the flash on this one, it looks quite nice.

Overall, the phone is very responsive too. This is going to be a huge upgrade over my current 4s that I've had for the last two years!

Man, I hear ya there! The enter-pin-whilst-driving gets on my nerves too. This is a great solution to keep your privacy without requiring an excessive amount of input to disengage the protection. I love the biometric sensor idea.

My 4S is feeling a little long in the tooth with iOS7 on it. My wife's 5 is running much more cleanly. Can't wait to get hardware to match the software!:)

Ahh ok no problem. My bad for replying before finishing the thread. you wouldn't happen to be a politician would you? ;)

For those who ordered on the Apple Online store today (9/24) .... when do you think the 'processing' will eventually turn to 'preparing for shipping' ? Ordered a 64GB iPhone 5s t-mobile unlocked space grey model ....
