So my phone left South Korea around 10:30 EST and is supposed to be delivered in Pittsburgh tomorrow. This seems highly unlikely, right?

I am wondering the same thing. My phone is suppose to be delivered in Austin, TX by the end of the day tomorrow. Looks like our phones are in Alaska now and off to Louisville before they make it to us.

It's likely on a whirlwind tour of anchorage right now, having just landed on UPS flight 99. In less than 2 hours it will be on its way to Louisville on the same flight 99. You can track it online as others have pointed out. Have faith, I bet it makes it to you. I am in the same boat. But now that it's made it to ANC I'm much more confident as I've seen it happen before repeatedly where it's in anchorage but makes it to me by next day.

Yes, I've seen this too. I think it will be on its way to Louisville soon and then out to the localities to be in trucks for delivery in the morning. I've seen an apple order come straight from anchorage to alliance airport in Fort Worth and delivered that day.

Believe me, it's happening, UPS does this **** for a living.

Just got mine, in NY.

32gb Silver
Ordered at launch, confirmation at 3:03a Est

Restoring from iTunes right now.

What I didn't expect was the sprint activation prompt when turning it on. So how to they do this? Before they box, do they input this information in? I've never ordered a phone online, so I don't know how this stuff works.

Apple has a stack of phones going to sprint, going to verizon, and att, basically they pull your phone scan it (it registers to your APPLE ID and sprint acct).

my phone left Korea yesterday. I got it in West Virginia today. It's possible!

That's reassuring to hear. Thanks!!

For those who ordered on the Apple Online store today (9/24) .... when do you think the 'processing' will eventually turn to 'preparing for shipping' ? Ordered a 64GB iPhone 5s t-mobile unlocked space grey model ....

It feels like never :(

I ordered mine yesterday and all it says is October. I had an order from Saturday morning but got it cancelled and now I have to wait :(

I'm hoping that some time this week it changes, but I'm more confident that it might happen next week.

Is your estimate "October"? I ordered on Saturday and that's still my estimate. But I also ordered 16 GB Gold on Verizon. You could be affected by region of the country it's being delivered to and the specific type of phone. But unless things are sped up I wouldn't plan on any sooner than middle-end of October, in my opinion.

Less than 24 hours away from officially owning a 5s

Ordered: 32GB Silver 5s (ATT) 12m post launch
Original Ship Est: between 9/30 and 10/2 via standard shipping.
Ship date: 9/23
Current Status: Arrived in AK today. Delivery on schedule for 9/25 by end of day

I completely admit this obsession is unhealthy. I work too much so gadgets are my "toys" :D

I also ordered a Gold 5s (64 GB), so we both may be very much in the same boat. While I'm trying to remain positive, it seems more and more likely that your estimations just may come true.

When I ordered this phone online, I did not envisage the possibility of my phone arriving 5 weeks after ordering. Now most of you may say to me #FirstWorldProblems yada, yada, yada... but honestly, who wouldn't be frustrated if put in my situation.

Some of my local Apple Stores received stock earlier today, and people were able to buy them. Regardless of the amount of stock the stores received, they still got some. Should their efforts not be equally (if not more) focused on completing the orders backlogged from Friday?

Since they seem to be more concerned with the "brick and mortar" customer base, I'm seriously considering to maintain my online order, but actively search my local stores, as well.

I would cancel if I could and I would head to an Apple store.

You may just have solved my issue. I purchased it online to use the Barclaycard 24-month financing offer thinking that that only applied if I purchased it online.

Turns out I can go to a retail store and get the same offer!!! As soon as I get my card in the mail I'm running to the nearest Apple store.

I guess duffman really is a super hero...!

Oh man that's lame.

Not really - if one ordered something on a Monday, anytime, three business days from Monday would be Tues, Wed, Thurs. Friday at 12:01am is still Friday. Mon, Tues, Wed. Nothing shady. A tad stressful for impatient people such as myself :D but perfectly normal and standard practice. I still want my new phone yesterday!

Ordering began at 00:00 pacific time on Friday morning. That was about 3 pm Friday afternoon. They are about 15 hours ahead of pacific time (due to daylight savings).

So obviously they didn't begin fulfilling orders until night shift on Sunday night. (Usually considered Monday).

Everything Fedex imports goes through Memphis.

So you think they took launch weekend off? Me thinks not!

Got my phone today!

I've been trudging through setting it up, (activation, surprisingly, was the quickest and easiest part). Downloading all of my purchased apps and music is taking a bit. Got all of my email, contacts, and other syncing done. Just have to make my tweaks, and choose a wallpaper and ringtone.

I have most of my apps and music set up already, and will be finalizing it tonight before I go to bed so I can activate, plug it in, and be good to go!
