I ordered my gold 5S 32GB (Verizon) from the Apple website at about 10:00 AM PST on September 20th. No change yet from the first "ships in October", but I haven't seen anyone else post here who ordered later on the 20th, so I will update once my status changes.

I ordered my SG 32gb TMobile on Apple site on the 21st, shipped last Sat, arriving Friday. Just checked the tracking, now looks like Thurs, the 10th.

Scheduled Delivery:
Thursday, 10/10/2013, By End of Day
Last Location:
Departed - Incheon, Korea, Republic of, Wednesday, 10/09/2013

I called Apple and they thought it was strange, especially arriving in China 7 minutes after leaving Korea, but they couldn't explain why.

There is a 1-hour time zone difference between China (Shanghai) and Korea, so the trip actually took it an hour and 7 minutes.....

I called Apple and they thought it was strange, especially arriving in China 7 minutes after leaving Korea, but they couldn't explain why. So I called UPS, and they said they have an advanced system that routes packages according to their network efficiency. I laughed and said, "yeah, ok, so it sits in Korea for 4 days having come from China and then backtracks to China, going the opposite direction? really efficient." ....long story short it will arrive on time as promised even if they have a Rube Goldberg way of getting it there. lol. The thing I'm upset about, is if they had just sent it out on its proper way last week, I would have had it already. Instead I'm forced to login to the package tracking system and watch it ping-pong around the world for 7 days. ???

They can have the most efficient delivery service in the universe, and that still would not explain how an almost 2 hour flight gets done in 7 minutes.

Wait... or maybe it is all explainable in the Twilight Zone...

Mine went from china, to korea, then back to China ( only chek lap kok, hong kong, not shenghai like everyone elses) it departed China at 7:51 local time on 10/8/10...hopefully on route to alaska????

Once I read this, I made a call to Apple Customer Service to see if they could give me any kind of time estimate on my order. While the lady I talked to was unable to tell me anything other than "soon", she did offer me free expedited shipping, which according to her would get it to me 3-4 days faster once it is ready. So that's something.

New to the forum, my question is, about how long should I wait until Apple has iPhone 5 S models in the stores for walk in customers?

Received 2 of 3 the iPhone 5C I ordered last week from Sprint. Waiting on Pink for my daughter. Have to go to the Sprint store when I get off to get a little situation resolved.

Anybody have any insight into Verizon's process? I ordered over the weekend (phoned it in so as to have them waive the stupid $30 "upgrade fee"), and he told me it would ship this week, which I naively believed. Got a confirmation email later that said:

Order Date: 10/05/2013
Ship By: 10/28/2013

Am I really going to wait almost a month? This is the 64GB space grey phone, btw.

Think its Okay to Cancel?

I ordered a 16gb gold AT&T on 9/20 6pm at AT&T store. Been stuck in processing hell since 9/22. I was lucky enough to get a 32gb gold (using another upgrade) at Apple online at a store an hour away today, which I will pick up tomorrow. Think its okay to cancel the 9/20 AT&T order now, or wait until I have the apple store phone in my hands tomorrow?

What's the worst that can happen if you wait to cancel until you've got the other phone in your hand? The one from AT&T miraculously ships? Even if it does, shouldn't be a problem getting your money back. Unless it's lack of funds that's the issue.

Just check online and reserve for pickup. Yesterday I checked this site https://iphone-check.herokuapp.com/ found a local store with what I wanted. Paid online for instore pickup, now I have a 64gb gold verizon no hassles.

How am I just seeing this link for the first time?!? Thank you for sharing... Right when I was about to cancel my 16GB Grey, (ordered 9/28 in Texas) and go pick one up, Apple "Preparing for Shipment" shows up! Isn't that life...

Yeah mine is in Alaska too, but the delivery date on the UPS tracking site changed from this Friday to next Tuesday. What the...

UPS flight 99 just left Alaska to go to Louisville, my phone flew over from Korea on 99 so I would guess it would still be on there on its way to Louisville.
