With gold I expect a little delay but 5 weeks is insane. I'll just cancel it and pick it up locally if it's not here in a couple days.
Well tomorrow will mark the 5th week. Ill give it till tuesday to show up. Order placed on oct 7th. I am still getting by with the 4
Well, saw this.... message for europeans= don't expect the iPhone 5S next week not even crazy.... This will take a looooooong time for getting one.

Because of that, it's not popular and the demand is lower than for example the mine (16 Gb Golden). If you have been waiting for a long time I prefer not to think about the time I'm gonna wait XDDDDD

Have you guys been in contact with Apple's customer service? If yes, what did they have to say? Five weeks sounds insane even for an iPhone 5s and three weeks of processing order just can't be.
I'm waiting until November 19th which is the last day of my estimated time of delivery phase before I unleash the fury while talking to Apple's support.
I have not yet gone to Apple. My gf/boss ordered it for me and I don't have access to her apple password or order number. Everytime I bring it up she gets huffy and is like just wait. She waited a long time for her gold one.
So, with no order number I can't complain to Apple. She checked for me tonight and said it's still says "processing". Ugh I'm losing my mind. I have to play with my coworkers at work. I LOVE the slo-mo and larger screen. My expected dates from Apple are an insane 11-14 - 11-29. Kill me now.

I've been reading and following all the posts to try to see where I might stand. I ordered 32gb gold 5s on Oct 9th...in about 4 days I found where I could check the status.
It said "Preparing for shipping" with a shipping date of 11/18 to 12/06, and has stayed way until 11:20 PM tonite and it has now changed to "In Progress" with a Shipping Date of "11-07." Which was today!
I'm excited that there is a change...does anyone have a clue if this is a really good sign or not?? Don't want to get my hopes up too high!!!
Failed to mention I ordered it in an AT&T store!

Thanks to you guys on this forum, I was able to secure a Tmobile iphone 5s 32gb space gray at 6am (today) on apple.com. I received an e-mail for pick up at 10am. Picked up the phone around noon at the Apple store and I've been playing with it ever since. Thanks to all of y'all with the tips and tricks!
And yes, my Tmobile iPhone came unlocked!

Uh uh, Justin...I ordered at an AT&T store...after reading other posts, I thought about checking the Apple stores and if I could find one in stock, go and get it. BUT...the closest Apple store is about 3 hours away...so that ended that little thought.
