The "I just bought/ordered/got/shipped my new iPhone 5s/5c" thread, [Merged]

Have on order for a 5s 16gb gold made on okt 28th, still says delivery on nov 13th -19th. Status has not been updated since the order...

Oh yeah, I live in Belgium. Good thing it's my girlfriends 5s and not mine. Had one since launch day (okt 25th). Seems like a lot of people in de EU who where part of the 2nd launch date are in the same boat.

I've paid via wire transfer, so the money was taken on the 28 of october...

If it's not here by monday i'm calling Apple...

yepp, somehow it really matters if its an oct 25 or oct 28 order... (at least its not a single working day difference..)

I contacted the apple support yesterday night and they told me that in my case (iphone 5s space gr. 64gb spain, 13-19 nov) if the status wont change by friday evening, i should contact them, but until then, everything is totally normal. I think we are ridiculously impatient and envy the oct25ers who have there gadgets already, and receieved it by the beginning of their est. delivery date..:) But we have to admit that we are still in the stupid timeframe...
 
Battery life is sensational with the 5s. It's worth the price of admission alone.
The 4G-LTE, touch ID and A7 are just bonuses (new headset too).

URGH. Since Monday my phone has been sitting (according to the apple order status) in Luxembourg. I don't have a tracking number yet, as because I ordered Apple care plus, they have to merge that with my orders so until my phone reaches the UK it won't be trackable.
I don't understand why.
Apple customer service said the phone was going through customs. Why is that taking a whole damn week?
I expected it to ship monday and reach me by tmrw, but I guess thats just a pipe dream.
I AM SAD.

I'm living it up with the others in Luxembourg! Swanning around duty free, drinking champers, you know just having a marvelous time... I almost don't quite want to make the final trip to England, god can you imagine, having to be USED.
Hope you don't mind the delay dahling...

Customs can take up to 4 weeks, its totally random.. Don't understand your situation though, insane...

But at least Helen's phone is not in some Chinese factory on the other side of the planet...

That is unusual. My first 5s ordered in as soon as the ordering went Line on the 20th Sept took about 36hrs to clear customs in Germany. The Northern Ireland iPhones in the same batch cleared customs in a couple of hours, so it can be very fast!

Here's what I think has been going on, anyone remember reading how Apple had booked whole planes to send bulk shipments of iPhones to distribution points around the release date ?? Apple has the buying power to do that, by booking a whole plane they save a substantial amount of money versus doing individual shipments of onesies and twosies. That plane has containers for certain regions and once in Anchorage or Louisville those containers go their separate ways.

Aaaahhh, not getting my phone today, worse stuff has happened. Knowing it's not coming though sets me free for the day. Hope all of you get good news today on your delivery date/time... What's weird is the parcels sat in China and Incheon for days each so that they would deliver on date promised, no earlier. Then the plane out of Anchorage bound for Louisville didn't make connecting flights. Hmmmm. Still I was promised 2-3 weeks and getting it in 10 days is really great.

I love my new little love. Best part! Girlfriend cant play with it since she need my thumb, mouahhaha ;) :cool:

I ordered mine on the 27th and it also still says delivery 14 Nov, 2013 - 20 Nov, 2013
My status also hasn't updated... I'm really worried something went wrong and I will have to wait a lot longer... I think if it doesn't ship until Monday I will contact Apple about it...

And, senrab...I'm sorry you lost your Dad when he was so young. My own Dad was 90 when he died, and still I was not ready to let him go. I miss him every day, and it will be 11 years ago this Dec 14th.

You must be near my children's ages...glad I'm still around to watch them growing.

Thanks Irish. My dad's father was 93 and passed away in 2009.

and AT&T says my phone shipped today. No tracking number yet.

1. Delivery 18th by end of day
2 and 3. I thought 16GB and especially gold was very difficult to get.

I guess it was an issue during the first wave... but it seems that gold is not that popular in europe..

I ordered a 64gig space grey Sprint through the US Apple Store Sunday night. At that time it said 2-3 weeks, but then it was updated a day later to 1-2 weeks. Last night (3 days) it switched to Preparing for Shipment. Hoping it changes to Shipped sometime today, but we'll see.

LOL sucker. I bet you didnt know the Bermuda Triangle stretched up to Alaska and S Korea?! Thats right. We left at 11:56 last night and you haven't heard a damn word since on UPS tracking. Well, relax. I'm still chilling here in this cold ass container with 160k other iphones just like me. Got to say, I'm disappointed they didnt serve drinks on this flight. Freaking UPS.

So I hear we have to do some Customs bs so that pipe dream delivery date is never going to happen. Maybe next week sometime; you dont mind right?
