My iPhone has been saying it's been in Shanghai, China since around 2:30pm UK time yesterday! :( is anybody else having a problem of there phone being stuck in China? I'm not sure if it's just the UPS tracking thing not working properly.

Or if yours has left Shanghai how long did it stay there for?

So, I had figured that the lines at the Apple store would mostly be gone by mid-day today. (19th) I knew there would be a line, but had assumed that it would be much easier to get in.

I was so wrong.

I got to the local Apple store about 11 AM, and the lines were huge. One other person in line said that a guard had told him that it would be at least a 3 or 4 hour wait to get into the store from the back of the line, where I was.

I waited around for a while go see how fast the line was moving, and it was not moving very fast. Forget that. I left.

Then I went to a local Best Buy store. The line here was just a few people deep, but they had completely sold out of ATT phones. And I needed ATT.

So I gave up on getting a phone today, and figured I would wait a month. I went and got some lunch, and did some errands. One of the errands took me to a shopping center where there was an ATT store. I drop into the ATT store, not expecting them to have the model that I want. Turns out, they have the phone I wanted (128 Gig) and there is only a 15-20 minute wait to get it.

And so I have my new iPhone after all. :)

Man this bad boy is one amazing device. IPhone 6 Plus. When I first took it out of the box I was a little concerned I was in over my head with the 5.5" screen but it's only been 12 hours and I'm already used to it with absolutely no regrets.

In love with it!

My 128gb iPhone 6 was waiting for me in my office when I got to work...:D

I am glad I didn't order the plus- it would be too big for my needs. However I love that we had options this time.

The 6 is an awesome device. ;););)

Have they started offering Applecare+ there? Its well worth it, since it covers any damage.

I thought I would’t need it one year and the first week I had the phone, I dropped it without a case too. Went to the Apple store and immediately added applecare+ again. Never dropped it after that though.. hahaha

Yeah it's new for us Aussie owners, which I find to be a great price since it covers accidental damage. :)

My phone is still in China and won't be delivered til' 9/25. I just checked and Palo Alto has the 6 plus in stock... So i just did the store pick up for 64gb, 6+, slate gray.

BTW, for you bay area folks, only SF store and Palo Alto has the 6+ left

I went to the AT&T store around 7( it opened at 8) and was about the 12th person in line. After deciding that the 6+ was a bit too big for my taste I left about 10 min. later with 2 gold 64gb Iphone 6's. I went in the day before with
the intention of pre-ordering but decided I wanted to see them first before deciding which one i wanted to get. I still planned to pre-order but when I showed up there was hardly anybody line.

Finally able to upgrade today!! Just ordered the iPhone 6+ Space Gray 128GB. Currently processing, with a delivery of Oct 21-28. Hoping that the date moves up to an earlier date (most likely will stay the same, but one can hope) :D

Came from 5S to 6+, love the big screen. I am finally comfortable using the iPhone. My only gripe is since the plus is much larger than the previous models. The mono-speaker makes you tone deaf in one ear in landscape mode. Upright it seems the sound is distributed evenly. But switching side to side, one ear lacks the sound since one side is receiving all the noise.
Other than that, I love this Iphone !

I felt the same way, and I'm 6'3". But after really using it, I am really comfortable, and love the screen real-estate that's been upped to 5.5"s.

I feel the exact same way! When I first opened the box it did look a little intimidating, but after using it for a little while I couldn't stop thinking about how awesome it is!

I know here in the US, the best way to check was putting your phone # tagged with your order. I got mine yesterday 9/19, and literally everyday, whenever a move was made, it stayed like that for the day. Until the next morning it would move a few places. It started in China on Monday, then came to Alsaska Wednesday, but it was still Tuesday on this side of the earth. Then Kentucky on Thursday. Then Friday it was making moves to my destination. Then it arrived around 11am Nor' Jersey.

Yesterday I went to the Apple Store a few hours after they opened and got the model I wanted reserved after I played with the iPhones a bit. I came back a few hours later when I had time to wait in line. A little under four hours later (it was the slowest moving line ever) I came out with a 64G iPhone 6. Loving it so far!

A friend of mine always has the best luck. He preordered the 6, and then he woke up early went to At&T and picked up the 6 plus. I told him people are going crazy trying to get that model and you wake up and roll to the store and come back with one? He always does that and comes with the one he wants on launch day.
I figured you would've preordered the plus ..

As someone who loves Apple products its understandable that I would be just a bit excited about getting my first preordered iPhone on launch day:D

Love the device its amazing. It'll be sad to let it go once my time is done with it. IMG_20140919_143348.jpg

I ordered my iPhone 6, 64GB in Space Grey from NetCom with subscription here in Norway, I hope I came with the first batch, and that they´ll get enough phones to cover alot of the orders. Release date here is 26th september, and they´ll ship from that date.

Ordered a 6 plus, 128gb in space gray.
I love that Apple is giving us choices with all the iPhones on offer at the moment :)

I had preordered a 6+ but it wasn't due to arrive until October. I kept having that nagging thought that it was too big. I kept playing with the printable templates and reading other people's posts on how the phones were. Finally decided it was going to be too much and canceled my order today. Hopped onto apple.com and ordered a 64GB ATT Space Gray for pickup at my local Apple store. One hour later and I got an email saying it was ready for pickup. Now i'm restoring from an iCloud backup and very glad I decided to go with the 6, it's the perfect size for me.

Went by my local mall this afternoon to pick up some screen protectors I had bought to pick up in store. The line was still huge. I really thought it would be gone by now, I don't live in a really mig city. But I guess that shows good things about Apple's supply, at least for the 6. I didn't think to ask about the 6 Plus, I had two of my kids with me and I just want do to get out of there.

Didn't want to open up a new thread for this. So I hope someone knows about it.. When iP5s came out (released), we could also place orders at midnight to pick up in the store next day.. And every night there were new stocks added up to the each store's inventory.. I'm sure many will remember, you could see the stores' inventory as a green or red signs..

Can this be done this year also? Didn't find any thread about it though..

So pissed. I have been waiting all day for FedEx, and then I suddenly get a notification that "Package cannot be dropped off because customer is unavailable." I have been home all day - no door knocks, no buzzer rings, etc. I called FedEx and told them that the guy didn't even try, and I have been waiting all morning for this package. They are going to try to get him to come back, but it looks like I might have to make the trek to the FedEx Center tomorrow morning to pick it up myself. Ugh.

Did the driver come back yesterday or did you have to go pick it up today?
