I tend to have my screen brightness low anyway, i don't find the need to have it on full. It's usually around 25% percent.

Same here only way I do is if I'm outside and got my sunglasses on I need to turn the brightness up. Hey you have to be styling and profiling when sporting a new iPhone 6+

I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey around 4am EST on pre order night. After 2 hours of trying to submit my order it finally gave me the date of Oct 1-6 estimated delivery.

Great news is I woke up this morning to a push notification from Apple that it has shipped!!!! Now it will be here On 9/23!! It is shipping from China.

I hope this news helps others in the same curious situation.

Same Oct 1-6 estimate as you except my new delivery date is 9/25. Mine have been stuck in Shanghai for a day.

Just upgraded with Three UK

Getting iPhone Plus 128Gb

Silver

looking forward to the upgrade from a 5, but wondering if the plus will be too big for everyday life. If it is i'll swap it for the 'non plus' :p

Well my 6 Plus arrived on friday, way before the mid october date i was given when ordering lol.
Been away weekend so only just setting the beast up now.

It is massive

TBH i don't think it can be practical for every day use for me, but i will give it a try.

ps. bear in mind that i am a guy who does not carry his phone about in a bag/manbag.whatever but in front pocket

I'm wondering if a number of users will run into the same issues MotoX users ran into. The original MotoX featured a 4.7 inch screen and received stellar reviews. The 2014 is a good phone, no doubt, but reviews of the 5.2 inch screens are mixed and aren't really looked at as an improvement.

While I appreciate the longer battery life in the iPhone 6 plus, I question whether or not a good portion of buyers will experience usability issues.

I actually didn't plan on buying an iPhone 6 right away. I was going to wait a few weeks until the dust settled and I wouldn't have to wait in long lines to buy a phone. I stopped by an AT&T store to see the phones with my wife JUST TO LOOK and my friend who works at a corporate store told me she had the colors we wanted, and the capacity we wanted (wife white|gold 64gb, and myself white|silver 128gb). So we decided to just go ahead and get them. We literally walked in and got them with no wait at one of the busiest stores near me in Fort Lauderdale on launch day. My wife's phone was perfect, however mine came out of the box with a dead pixel right next to the E on the keyboard. So after a quick swap we both got perfect devices. Very happy so far!

The "I just bought/ordered/shipped/received my new iPhone 6/6 Plus" thread

Is anyone having problems with their 6+ icon screen suddenly going upside down and freezing. It's happened to me twice already, and needed cold restart to fix it.

Hmmmm

Lots of places have the 6's. It is the 6 plus that I have seen is very hard to get in our area. I already have but was in some of the stores looking at cases and lots were able to walk in and get the 6 but not the plus.

Pocket permitting, it isn't hard to find an iP6+ for Verizon which is factory unlocked..so it can be used on any carrier [AT&T, Tmobile other GSMs], except Sprint.

That's what I did and was easily able to reserve one online for store pickup! Swapped the SIM from Verizon to Tmobile and been enjoying the 6+ for over 24 hrs now :D

Got my gold + on launch day, picked up the white/silver unlocked + today and a space grey 128GB + today.

Chose in-store pickup on the silver and grey last night and received my email at 11:15 right after the Apple Store opened today.

what time did the apple store show the phones available for pickup?

I wasn't even going to get involved this time around but I started noticing the battery on my 5 was acting wonky, then saw there was a battery replacement program. After digging further, I saw that maybe I should just upgrade because I would expect my trade-in value for the 5 to begin plummeting soon.

Went to the Apple store early yesterday on Saturday morning (Los Angeles area), of course they had no 6 Pluses in stock (this particular location said they didn't even get ANY Pluses on launch day), but I decided to take a chance and trade in my iPhone 5 right there and then to get the gift card so I could try to snipe incoming inventory online. Apple sales person (and online chat support) were both very iffy and vague about if I could reserve a phone online and then do the trade-in later when I came to pick up the phone, so that is why I took this risk of trading in my old phone for credit and going indefinitely without a phone! In retrospect, after talking to another sales associate THIS MORNING I think they CAN cancel your online payment when you come to pick up, and then give you trade-in credit when you bring in your old phone to the store, BUT they are deliberately sketchy about this because it is a pain in the a@@ for them to do (they have to call AT&T during point of purchase).

Last night I refreshed the apple store website a bunch of times and saw my Plus 128GB Gold become available. It wasn't available at any of the flagship stores in central Los Angeles, but at an Apple store further down south in the 'burbs. I waited a bit for it to show up at a closer flagship location but it wasn't happening- I started to get paranoid so decided to go ahead. Pulled the trigger and bought it around 11:30pm PST time at an Apple store 30 minutes outside of downtown LA. In retrospect it was a good decision because the local stores never got new stock last night.

Got the "Ready for Pickup" email at 6:50AM this Sunday morning. Drove to the Apple store- 100 people already lined up outside the mall. Some Apple employee asked the crowd if anyone was there to pickup. He escorted me and one other guy into the store and after about 20 minutes I walked out with my new 6+.

There were some glitches restoring my data to the new phone but it wasn't a big deal and it's running perfect now!

In all seriousness, can I ask why? That's a whole lot of cash dropped on phones in one weekend.

I was at the Apple Store in Carlsbad Ca. today picking up a case for my 6+. Talked to an Apple Associate on the floor who told me that a lot of people came in hoping to buy a 6+ but they don't get many in and when they do, they disappear in seconds. She said they have a ton of 6's available but the Plus just can't be kept in stock and they've had zero requests to exchange the Plus for a 6. I guess this is the rare store where everyone who buys a 6+ doesn't regret it LOL

...On the same boat. We ordered 3 iPhones 6+, original shipping date was Oct 1-6 and we were notified it has been moved to 9/25 for delivery. 1 of 3 shipments were moved up to be delivered on 9/22 however ups still shows last scan in China :/ the rest are scheduled for 9/25

I just order an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray Tmobile without contract. It says Delivers: Oct 21 - Oct 28 by Standard Shipping, any ideas if it might come sooner? please advise.

Superior building quality

I received my silver 64 gb iphone 6 on 19.09., and as I took a closer look at the phone I noticed a small but very visible scuff.

I had the same problem with the iphone 5 when it was released. It had to be replaced 3 times, until I was satisfied with the building quality. Anyone else noticed some scuffs on their devices?

My iPhone 5 had a lil scuff but I didn't care as it didn't affect the operation of the phone and I use an otterbox and wouldn't see it.

Happens to me a lot. Some times I'll start an app and that will be the right way and then when I go back to the home screen, it's still upside down. No freezing, just an upside down home screen.

My pre-order (well my confirmation email) went through at 3:54 EDT, and I have a 9/25 arrival date. It shipped last week, but sat around in Zhengzhou for the weekend. It hopped over to Korea this morning. At first I was hoping it would be early but I think the earliest it could get here now is Wednesday, and I doubt that will happen.

I ordered the Space Gray 128GB 6+. That seems to be the slowest to arrive of all of them, I've seen many who ordered +'s after me who got them on release day, but they were always different models.
