These deliveries require a signature. Did you leave a signature release for UPS or call to see what happened? I printed out the paper and will have mine set up to give to my neighbor if I'm not here.

I spoke with UPS already today. They weren't that very helpful as they just told me to call Apple and ask them to initiate an investigation. Of course, Apple is closed today.
The last scan point is at the main hub for my area which is about 40 minutes away. There was an 'Out for Delivery' scan but the system cleared it at the end of the day on Tuesday. All I'm stuck with is the main hub scan and currently In Transit.
So it's either at the main hub sitting on a stack somewhere, it's lost somewhere in the chain, or it's stolen. Either way I have to call Apple tomorrow to start a trace. What a waste of time.
I think you're overreacting. I have UPS ship to my home very often. When it doesn't make it to my home after saying out for delivery it usually means that they didn't have time to make it your home, or you weren't there to sign your package.
I almost guarantee your phone is sitting at the closest UPS distribution location and will be out for delivery tomorrow.

It's a busy time for UPS and all delivery carriers. Things happen and deliveries get delayed. I wouldn't count on the most helpful of UPS employees to be available on a holiday. Try again tomorrow and hopefully you can get a better answer. Did UPS say it was delivered? And if you have to work, do the signature release if you have a trustworthy neighbor. UPS usually delivers to my neighborhood late in the day, but this time of year, it could be anytime.
I log in to ups.com and have the unit held for pick up and I can then pick up first thing in the am from my local UPS customer counter. If I let the driver deliver it's usually 8pm at night when the truck gets to my place and thats during the regular season
I highly doubt it it'll be arriving tomorrow. The UPS CSR was also pretty skeptical it was going to arrive today or even tomorrow. Like I said, it's no longer marked as "Out For Delivery" and has been marked as "In Transit" for the last two days. There also isn't any indication it has been scanned onto or off any truck since Tuesday.
It may very well be sitting at the UPS distribution center hidden behind other packages. The fact is it's going to be three days late with no exception notices or tracking information. I'm going to go with UPS' suggestion and call Apple in the morning to run a trace.
It's not getting delivered on a holiday, so Friday is the next possible delivery day ..If it said 'Delivered' and it wasn't, then I would call UPS to see what's up ..But the fact that it said 'Out For Delivery' and then went to 'In Transit' probably means they didn't actually have it on the truck and had to change the package status. Calling Apple isn't going to find the package any sooner then calling UPS directly. In the past, I would press * when calling UPS to get to a local (helpful) person. Hopefully that still works. I'm in Canada.. So no holiday today.
The only option UPS gave me was to call Apple to initiate a lost package investigation. Only Apple can do it as the receiver can't initiate a lost package claim.
From what I have been told from places like Amazon, if it says it was delivered, I should wait 24 hours incase the carrier made a mistake. After that, I get a refund. I'm not sure what Apple does in this situation, but hopefully they will ship you another phone and do their own research on the MIA one. But since it still says 'In Transit', they will probably have you wait another day or 2 before they take action.
Ordered my silver 128GB 6+ 2 days ago (11/26) directly from Apple with the typical 2-3 weeks for delivery (they claim week of Xmas).
Based on every iPhone I have ever ordered, I expect it will ship at least a week before that.

Did the same as you except mine is a Gold 128 Plus. Based on last years order from Apple I figure 14 days max an it should arrive Dec. 10

I sure wasn't expecting mine so fast, after the craziness of the mall I figured the best thing to do to get the 64gb Gold one was to order online and skip the craziness at the mall. It got here way faster than I figured, I'm No Fortunate Son so I have no explanation on why mine arrived so fast. US Apple Store order, ATT Model, coincidence that Apple has really ramped up 5S production ?? Who knows, someone ask Carnac The Magnificent.

You posted in the wrong iPhone thread. Of course you can get a 5S in 7 days or less; it is last year's model.
You need to look little harder at the thread, the previous post to the one you quoted shows I ordered a 6+ 128 Gold on Tuesday of THIS week. That post you quoted was on Nov. 15th of 2013...

My November 18 order just shipped out this morning. UPS tracking isn't showing yet but should tomorrow. Apple says December 9th but let's hope they beat that estimate!

I ALSO got the 7-10 day notice sometime last night. If you don't mind saying, what date did you order your phone ?? I ordered on the 26th directly from Apple Online Store using an ATT Next option. And did you call Apple for that gift card (wouldn't mind having me one of those). I own my 5S (64g gold) and was going to sell it to Nextworth at Target and get their quoted rate of $215.00 in a gift card, I might also see what Apple would give me. I always use a good case and screen protector and when I turn them in they look like they're right out of the box. NOS (New Old Stock).
Oh boy, the fun begins. Fingers crossed for everyone - I Bet that Apple is doing what it did last year, they book entire flights and have those cargo containers filled for certain areas - the flights end up in Anchorage eventually and at that point the cargo containers go on flights to other areas of the U.S. - I'd have to look but I believe mine went to Nashville and then Newark (NJ).

What date did you order ?? I made the mistake of reading the "first impressions" thread some this morning, and many people at first regretted the Plus model but then couldn't live without the extra screen size. I'm retired and wear jeans so will need to see how that goes, quote unquote. With my poor eyesight it will be interesting to see if I'm more Plus or iPad Air when I'm browsing on the couch.
