I had an easier time getting into grad school back in the day. This was definitely a test in... patience and persistence.

Haha, I hear you. I don't think I stayed up until 3am to study when I was in grad school 🙂
 
Pre-ordered a Verizon iPhone 6 64gb Space Grey, like around 3:35 am Eastern on the 12th, transaction and the Verizon website was extremely smooth and I checked out in like 5 minutes. Said they would send a confirmation within 24 hours, got that, and also got the your order has been shipped notification.
 
Got mine ordered off the apple app store. cut out my number for safety 😛

All I got from the Apple store was confirmation that my 4.7" 64GB Space Grey Unlocked was an "Item to be shipped" with delivery date of 09-19. Nothing else yet.

Although maybe that's the case for Ontario, Canada, I dunno.

What does the sentence ( not eligible to cancel or return) means? We have return policy in :apple:apple for 14 days. Then what does this sentence says.

I ordered iphone 6 spray grey 16gb tmobile. It's still in processing item. Delivery on 9/19

I ordered the 6+ in ontario and it is listed as processing items likely your status will change soon to "preparing to ship". Mine on the other hand appears to be shipping next month :..(
 
Bought from apple.com at 6:30pm Friday night (after having bought at AT&T at 1am Friday and they cancelled my order during the day. never again...)

1 - 64gb space gray for me (delivery 9/19)
1 - 64gb silver for my wife (delivery between Oct 1 - 6)

40 hours later both still show as processing. One charge is pending on my credit card (I'm assuming that's the space gray one).

REALLY hoping to see "prep for shipping" soon. Thought it would have shown that by now...

You can't cancel the order while it is in transit. Once you get the phone, you have 14 days to make a return.

Oh I thought u were in UK as needed UK time...they are rlly shafting me here...some of their computers weren't processing properly as my despatch went from 19/9 to 3/4 weeks and I paid at 8.30am...so annoyed

Jamaica is 6 hours behind the UK & 2 ahead of Cupertino, so it was 12.30am UK time when I placed the order & 12.37am when in received the email confirmation.

There, that wasn't too hard to work out was it!? 😀
 
Ordered my iPhone Plus Silver and 5 minutes later Space Gray, both preparing to ship with a serial number for one of them!
 
Apple Canada update for me -

I received 1 of 2 invoices this morning. Both my 6 and 6+ show preparing for shipment but I now have the serial for the big one 🙂

I ordered at 3:20 a.m. EDT using ios app for in store pickup on 3/19. Received email confirmation from Apple at 3:37 a.m. EDT. Order still processing, but small temporary authorization charge made to my CC yesterday. Also, this morning the order description changed slightly to show the particulars of my ATT plan, but still "processing". All of this May be unique to in store pick up orders, but I wouldn't be concerned. Seems like this is about how things went when I pre-ordered the 5 two years ago.
 
Ordered 3 separate 6's from Apple all preparing for shipment. 3 holds were placed on the card but 1 was removed for whatever reason but is still in preparing for shipment phase. Anyone heard of this?

Yes. They place an initial hold to make sure you have the funds, then charge you when they ship. No worries.
 
Worst experience so far ordering. At around 4am Friday managed to order iphone 6 128gb but only received a reservation number. A few hours later got email telling me to complete order. As of Saturday morning still couldn't get it done so called Apple. One hour waiting before getting through and told site is slow but reservation number is good so keep trying. Explain number is set to expire in couple of hours but told can't get another until it does. So after it expires keep trying to get it done but still nothing. Decide to start over and order goes right thru with delivery still on the 19th. Last time I try to order early as it made no difference anyway.
 
Ordered Unlocked GSM 6, 64 Grey on the 12th from the apple site. Delivery states 19th.

Apple has charged my card as of this morning 14th. No shipping info yet.

All signs point to and on time delivery as they're the same as they were for the 3G, 4, and 5.

I like this upgrade cycle. 😎

At least I am not alone. Glad to hear they are telling others the same thing. I was on hold Fri 9/12 for 3 and a half hours. I gave up. Called back Sat morning and waited for an hour and a half.
 
- 3:53 am I was able to get through using apple store app on iPad
- 4:09 am I got reservation email w/ delivery date of 9/19
- around noonish I got second email asking to complete order
- 6:00pm I completed order still w/ delivery date of 9/19
- 10 minutes later I received order processing email date remains same
- 15 minutes later I called my bank/cc company to ensure they knew I initiated the purchase and there was no fraud (just being extra cautious, don't want any issues). bank rep said the purchase will be accepted and actually congratulated me on getting new iphone

Sprint iPhone 6+ Silver 64gb (wanted space gray but in the frenzy had to go w/ what would go through)

I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus silver, 64 GB at 8:00 am on the 12th. Delivery date is 10/28/14. 🙁
