This was the worst since the 4. Finally got it to work through the App. I went in through the "check eligibility" link and then bounced in and out of the screen where you picked color and size, clicking through multiple configurations and periodically one would say "9/19" Persisted until I got what I was after to show 9/19.

At 3:48 Eastern, I scored a 128 GB 6+ in Gold for myself.
At 4:02 Eastern, I scored a 64 GB 6 in Space Gray for the wife.

Both confirmations say 9/19 delivery. I got AT&T Next contracts from Apple, but I can not get to my order status through either the web or the app currently.

I've now pre-ordered the 3GS, 4, 5, 5s and 6 and gotten launch day (or first batch for 5s) Don't know how as the 4 and 6 were complete disasters and the 5 and 5s went fast!

The 5s wasn't a preorder and you got it days after launch so a lot of people went and stood in line instead. As I recall, the 5 was a pretty big disaster at AT&T with the website crashing a number of times and then AT&T retroactively changing peoples ship dates (and then delivering many of those on time even before the people received shipping emails).

Sorry, that was what I meant by - I got in the first batch of 5s shipments. I should mention it was a gold 64, so they did sell out even in the launch day online orders.

The 5 I got 2 of with no trouble using the App on the phone. All my phones have been ordered directly from Apple through the webpage or the app. I skipped the 4s and the 3G. I got the original 4 days after launch at the store.

Got an AT&T 64GB in space gray, available for store pickup in tax free nh on 9/19

Got gold 64gb iPhone 6 for T Mobile on launch date at 3:15am PST, now I feel those who are from east coast.

Just checked at 7:13am PST, 16gb model is no longer launch date.

Now, the fun game of tracking shipment shall begin soon.

I ordered at 3:06am EST via the AT&T website. At 3:07am they put a hold on my card for 1 cent and at 4:58am I received the generic "14-21day" estimate in an email from AT&T.
This morning 9am they charged my card for the full amount of the phone $543.11 so I assume they are shipping it next week.
I doubt they would charge my card 2-3 weeks early...

Received a reservation number via iPad Apple Store app last night around 4am, got the first email around 5am, and received my "order is ready" email at 10am.

Order is processed with delivery at 9/19. The wait for tracking info begins...

I got up around 3 am and att let me in but crashed and apples site never came up and the app said not available. So I went back to bed and this morning att let me do the thing no issues and I got confirmation email but no shipping email. I checked it manually and says 9/23 to 10/02 shipping so I am ok with it. I can wait as I got order in I suspect it will not be that long just a week or so after the 19th. I ordered an iPhone 6 silver 64 gig. Frankly the early morning preorder was a joke and to many issues. In two years when the 7 comes out I will just do it like I did it now and let it be delayed. Just a phone.

Ordered my wife a 4.7" Space Gray in 16GB and she'll receive hers on the 19th via AT&T.

I ordered myself a 5.5" Space Gray in 64GB and it'll be a month after launch day before I see it.

Apple really underestimated the 5.5" 64GB models.

At least I'll have iOS 8 setup on my 5S until I receive my 6+.

Unfortunately lost my unlimited data though.

Next week is going to be a slow waiting for these to arrive.

Apple began taking orders around 3:20, you just had to use the app. I was back in bed by 3:40. Regardless, AT&T has its own stock so one selling out does not affect orders at the other. If anything, the Apple web store not being back up pushed more people over to AT&T and made them sell out faster. In past years, sellouts have happened in <5-10 minutes and AT&T went live a few minutes early. 3:30 was probably about 25 minutes late, at least for some colors/sizes.

I tried ordering through Apple on my phone but it stalled, so I went to my laptop and ordered it through AT&T. In spite of ordering at 5:30am on the West Coast, it says my delivery date is Sept 19th. I got a confirmation email within a few minutes that also said my delivery will be on the 19th. I feel like I have magical wizard powers now, since that's the easiest preorder I've ever made. I got the 64GB Space Gray iPhone 6.

There seems to be either a ton of iPhone 6's prepared for pre order, or a lot of people decided on the 6+. The 6+ are going to get pushed back to christmas and you can still get an iPhone 6 from apple that will arrive on 9/19. Glad it was easy for you though

I started just before 3am ET and both Sprint and Apple store were dead. Took me 45 minutes of refreshing the app to finally score a 6plus 128gb space gray with a 9/19 delivery. Couldn't sleep after all that anxiety so I'm wrecked about now but happy I scored!

Worst since 4? I daresay this was the most botched apple pre-order ever. I got all mine from verizon which basically started at like 2:52am, and i got my 6plus 128 and my fiancees 6 16 for 9/19, but after that it was a nightmare trying to help my bud. Even with the iPad and iPhone apple store apps, he was having issues.

Apple having their website down for 2 hours after the pre-orders open is INEXCUSABLE, if i was others id be flipping the hell out.
