I'm gonna be really pissed if they didn't reserve it for me or moved it to a later day.

You guys know if there is a separate line for pickup or is it all the same line?
Yes, but if it's the same as previous years BOTH lines will be long. The pre-order line is shorter, however be prepared to wait a while as a lot of people have their phones activated in store rather than taking it home and setup on own.

For example- on launch day of previous iPhone the pre-order line was 4+hours and regular line was 8 to 12 hours. This was at South Coast Plaza in Orange County California (large high end popular mall).

Of course it may not be that bad in your area but just be mentally prepared to wait.

Just wanted to say this has been a very helpful thread and thank you. I've been able to track one of the iPhone 6 plus I ordered by using the track by reference method. I can't seem to track the second one I ordered. Both have a delivery date of 9/19. Apple rep I spoke with told me it's normal to have two separate tracking numbers going to the same house. So hopefully the other one will have one soon. Just thought I'd let you all know.

one package found for UPS Innovations

Ok when I added the 4 digit pre-fix to my zip code UPS Innovations found one package without a tracking number yet. I'm assuming it's the iPhone. I ordered two cases one for my iPhone 5C (work phone) and one for my new iPhone 6 Plus. The case for the 5C is shipping via FedEx - i got that notification last night. The 6 Plus case is still processing (ordered them both at the same time). The iPhone still says preparing for shipment. It hasn't shown up in my profile yet for Apple Support but I'm hoping it will move to shipped status soon since UPS knows about it now.

Cheers,

unfortunately it's at the Apple Flagship Store in Fashion Valley Mall

I couldn't pickup the iphone 6 plus anywhere close when i pre-ordered it on friday besides the Flagship store

I'm gonna assume its gonna be hella busy

i'm curious how many people are gonna show up on friday before they open because they won't allow you in until 5 AM on that day

I ordered 5 minutes after the Apple online website started accepting orders and my 16GB Space Gray iPhone 6 for Verizon is still "processing". I'm worried :(

Other have reported finding their tracking # based on reference # while still being "Preparing for shipment". I'm stuck in that phase but haven't been able to find my tracking # yet.

Thanks so much! Should I also be worried that I'm not seeing an iPhone 6+ in my "My Support Profile" yet? Seems like lots of people are..

I wouldn't be too concerned. It could very well be added at some point today, shipped out over night, and you'd still have in time for the Friday launch!

Is the "delivery date" still 9/19? I wouldn't be too worried- but also double check if they've charged your credit card yet. That should at least be charged by now.

The apple.com website didn't come up for me for a few hours AFTER the app was working. (I placed my order through the app, not website).

Track with Reference

Really wish I could see mine in the tracking page. Mine was slow to show up in the different stages though (prepping for shipment, support profile), so it'll probably ship tomorrow if not later today.

Apple.com says it's preparing for shipping still, but UPS shows it being shipped from ZengZhou China, delivering the 19th.

Ditto here. Preparing for shipment since Saturday afternoon, scheduled for Sept. 19 delivery, I can't track by reference yet either and my new 6+ doesn't show in my support profile. Guess we'll just have to wait.

I ordered online at around 315 am on the first day of orders. Later, after getting a bit of sleep, I decided that I'd go back online and do a reserve for pick up of an iPhone 6 for 9 am for this Friday. I've cancelled my original order, this way I don't have to wait around at home all day for the iPhone to arrive.

Same with me, preparing for shipment 9/19 but can't track and not in support profile.

Well mine has been preparing for shipping since Saturday with a delivery date of 19/9-23/9
I've tried ups, fed ex and Canada post but nothing shows up when looking up reference. :(

Can you provide details on the steps you've used to find your tracking number on UPS? I've tried looking this up with the "track by reference number" option, using both my phone number (1xxxyyyzzzz and xxxyyyzzzz) as well as the Apple order number (using the full order number and removing the last two digits in the order number). I've also used my delivery zipcode with and without the prefix. Looking via MyUPS (I have a premium account). Nada so far. Any advice? Thanks!

Updated to Preparing to Ship Saturday 9/13
Was able to find my tracking info via UPS Reference number this afternoon

The delivery date is still 9/19. I paid with Bill Me Later and there is a authorized charge but it hasn't posted to my account yet.

MyUPS should pickup any deliveries headed to your address automatically.

It "should", for sure. My faith in UPS is close to zero, however, based on previous experience. I'm not too worried about this, but it's a bit of a tease, that's for sure.

Reference Number

Finally just found my tracking info. If your cellphone number isn't working, try using the phone number on the shipping address, if there is one. Thats what worked for me.
