Apple.com order check: Preparing for Shipment

Purchase history:

12:23 Email receipt for purchase.
iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold. (Silver Unavailable)
By, iPhone Apple Store App, while Website down for 2.5 hours.
App started working well after 15 minutes past 12AM.
Took some time, but did not have to start over... Used Upgrade link as it was first presented.

12:33 Email from bank, pre-authorization for full amount of phone purchase, +TAX

Went to UPS.COM about 10 minutes ago. Entered phone number for reference.

UPS states a label has been generated and listed a tracking number.
Nothing has been scanned.

It is shipping to California. :cool:
It is shipping from Apple LO15 NPI - (Rialto, CA)
Weight: 1.90 lbs

Serial number will tell you. Mine says Week 35.
 
I searched UPS with my phone number as the reference number and it is starting to show my iphones being shipped. Hopefully it comes early?

But won't they hold your phone if you pre ordered it to in store all day? can't you go at any time and get it through out the day ???

if so why wait in a line aha?

Next day air? nice! you might get it early. it depends on whether or not they put a future delivery date on it or not. post new tracking when it gets scanned.

I manage a warehouse so i know all about the shipping services they use.:cool:

I spoke with my local Apple Store and was told that they WOULD NOT have a seperate line for preorders. That I would have to line up with the masses and wait.

She did say that it was a store by store decision. I'd call ahead and make sure.

At least your's is preparing for shipment, mine is still "processing" and I ordered right when the website went online. :( :( :(

Not sure. The Apple Store website is slow to update as to whether or not your item has shipped, but if you have a UPS My Choice account, you can input your phone number as the reference number to track your package and it will say whether it has shipped.

Relax. If Apple says your phone is preparing for shipment and that will be there on the 19th, it will.

Again, there's nothing to worry about. Worst case scenario? Your phone doesn't come exactly on the 19th. Remember that there are people starving in Africa.

My Silver + 64GB has departed but my Space Gray + 64GB has a tracking number but no additional info yet, looks like it might be in the second wave. Ordered them 5 minutes apart.
 
so now the charge for the phone has disappeared from the athorized charges, but did not move down to the posted charges.. (the "available credit limit" shows I am still charged for it) although theres nothing there now :/

I have this as well. Mine however only says a shipment has been created, and there is no current location. I wouldn't be surprised if you get your phone early.

What is your scheduled delivery? They should've scheduled a future delivery date of 9/19. or maybe your on of the lucky ones!
 
My status changed to preparing for shipment last night after I had to change the cc information on the order because the initial account was not processing. Since it says preparing for shipment now does that mean everything is good with my order and it has been processed completely? and everything is in schedule for a 9/19 delivery as it states? Thanks

I honestly think the only reason we're seeing this is because we're not getting a specific device like those who shipped to home or business. Once at the Apple Store, they'll reserve the exact model we ordered, but there's no specific device being shipped that we would track. Does that make sense?

Makes perfectly good sense. I am in the same boat and am seeing exactly the same activity.
