Things got even weirder . After the pickup phone call i just received a updated tracking and its actually here already. At least it looks like it

My order is finally in Louisville! I got an import scan at 10:36am EST. It's only about 40 mins away from me right now. I wish I could just drive there and get it 
Walk in with a printed copy of that email and they really can't deny you since they sent that it is ready. I would demand it if they don't . launch day is there day not yours its ready go get it.
No - just got the confirmation email with QR barcode. The email said "We've got some great news for you. Your items will be ready for pickup on Sep 19"
The fact I received the QR code means they WILL have one for me.
It's something, but I wonder when the next flight is.
Also, I requested for pick-up, but since you guys are saying it might cause a delay, I'm worried and thinking about changing it back...any suggestions?

I just called ups. They said that as long as you switch before it's delivered, it will be held with no delays. I just switched it will call. They also said that I can pick up by 10am. Which I'll be there well before that.

No, that just means you requested today that UPS hold it tomorrow. I got the same notice.
I was extremely lucky with my order. Was on my parent's plan and still had unlimited data but couldn't fathom spending $700+ for a new iphone every year because I knew I wanted one every year. Got off their plan and upgraded my 5s to the 6/64gb/Gold and the Verizon employee mutters, "Are you serious" and calls a coworker over, they start grinning like two little kids, point at the screen and tell me to look, estimated delivery September 19th! I was more than ecstatic. Mine is currently at preparing to ship with no tracking info. I am hoping this wasn't a typo but if I don't get it tomorrow it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm thinking we won't see any movement domestic that is till tonight when planes get in the air to distribution centers. I would bet we will still be seeing China to Alaska flights though.
