The "I just ordered / bought / got my new/refurb MBP" thread [Merged]

17" 2.3 arrived! Swapped in the 8GB RAM and 7.2k 750GB hard drive. Installing software now, temps idling around 47C, fan speed 2k.

I realize it could show up at my door any minute regardless of the tracking "information", but I called and they said it will be delivered to me (Canada) on the 7th. Not BY the 7th. ON the 7th. Why? Why would it take 3 more business days? Anyone else order on the 26th?

My MacBook Pro is also coming to Canada (Toronto). It arrived in Tennessee late last night. I ordered a BTO (2.2, 500gb, ATG) on Feb 25th around 5pm., and it did not ship until the 28th. (Likely later than yours because of the BTO).

Fedex shows a delivery date of tomorrow at 10:30am. However, I chose express shipping b/c I couldn't wait!

I have a good experience with things coming sooner than they say...If it's in the US, I don't know why it would take an extra 3 business days. Fingers crossed that you get it by Friday!

My brand-new high-end 15" MBP 2.2GHz i7 arrived one day ahead of schedule today around noon PST. Ordered on release day. Shanghai to Los Angeles by air freight.

Can't wait to open her up, install 8GB of Corsair RAM, and transplant my SSD+HDD combo from my old Late-2008 unibody (The first of it's kind at the time). Sandy Bridge power, here I come!

Seems like Canadians are getting screwed over. Mine arrived in Ontario yesterday and hasn't left yet!! NOOOOO! :(

EDIT: MAKE THAT ONTARIO, CALIFRONIA! I should get it by Friday.. I'm told by the Apple Rep

so i played WoW on Good but High was recommended. it froze and i had to hard reboot (it made me cringe!), im not gonna play anything until a set of drivers are released
 
Day 2 with my new MBP 15" 2.2 8 gig.

Got all the bugs worked out and Parallels installed. I'm loving this thing. The old dual core 2.53 seems like a G4 in the rear-view mirror.
